South Africa's tour of India - October/December 2015

See no reason to enforce follow on and rightly India have opted not to enforce it.

Follow on is more for games where one side bats for 3 days and the needs time to win the game which batting a second time would deny. Still day 2 ... plenty of time left ... and honestly don't think too many overs are required to bowl out SA anyway ... so may as well bat on.

Feel for SA fans ... Their side has denied them any chance of taking any kind of a pitch high ground and dumping every blame on the pitch as they have done In the previous tests.

Had they scored here the SA fans would have said see these guys can bat ... just the pitches were so bad and what not ... can't do that anymore.

As for all the talk on SA batsmen ... yes they have not been great ... but I think SA now play in conditions that these batsmen are more in tune with .... and so would not make any wholesale changes ... Vilas should go but that's about it.

I will keep an eye out for whenever SA play Pakistan in UAE ... that will be really tough for them. However apart from that ... SA should return to their dominant best against England.

I took a half day to watch AB bat and while it started brilliantly, I forgot you need two guys to stay at the crease.. Deplorable!

Treacherous playing conditions in the last session .. what else could explain the 9 for 83 crumble ?

Pathetic playing conditions, I think the pitch got changed after Indian teams batting. They put in the Nagpur pitch. How else would SA be all out for 121? Less then what Rahane scored. And Rahane is such a flat track bully, worst century ever right? Our tailenders are so pathetic, how could they add 100 runs?

The 'pitch' jokes from Indian fans is getting a bit silly. Everyone knows SA hasn't played well. The pitch is just fine and the pitch at Nagpur wasn't fine no matter how much you push the sarcasm. It's never a bad thing to be humble and keep your feet on the ground. India will also travel to SA, and I hope SA won't produce a 'Nagpur' for cricket's sake.

I thought SA fans claiming their loses on pitches were silly tbh, plus putting mohali and blore in the same league as nagpur! and going the whole shebang with pitch whining!

I also dont mind seeing one extreme pitch once in a while its not really the worst thing for cricket!

I'd like to see this thread if the role was reversed! Enjoy the sarcasm now... we'll chat again when India tour South Africa... if the cricket bosses political games allow India to come over to South Africa...

we have already mate just last year, none of us complained about pitches at any time, we never do, rather tell our batsman to get better at it when they dont perform whether it is a minefield or green mamba! plus to drop rohit and bunny :p

I mean we would love to see our batsman succeed in those conditions if not to keep trying regardless of win or loss not shout to abandon that pitch!

Kick a man when he's down..... Would have expected more maturity from some people on this thread, but alas.. wishful thinking on my part :noway

SA still have a chance in fourth innings an ABD/Amla special these sarcastic quips arent aimed at SA team only at people who commented about the pitches offered in the series as the only reason for the SA performance and criticized indian team as not playing it fair in spirit of cricket and the beard of WG Grace!

I get why you guys get a good chuckle about the poor performance of South Africa.. we also have a good chuckle about our performance... a chuckle to hide our embarrassment, lol.

What's stopping India from touring SA? Why would there be problems with India SA games. I don'tknow what you are alluding to there.

As for India in SA pitches I assure we Indian fans will no issues with the pitch regardless of how grassy fast bouncy they are. Not one of us will have a go at it. We will be ruthless with our batsmen though and that's how we have always been.

Far from complaining we would actually have it no other way. We will make a note of the pitches so that next time some visiting side complains about a pitch like Nagpur we can point to that pitch and say hey we play on your pitches too.

However there will be no complaining ... We want our batsmen tested on the most testing pitches ... the more testing the better.

As for all the sarcasm ... SA fans sort of invited it on themselves after Nagpur . To completely ignore the shortcomings of the batsmen and blame the pitch was just one big excuse job.

No one said the pitch was not a rank spinner ... but SA fans behaved a if SA batsmen were having good to bat with their hands tied behind their backs or something.

That's the level to which you guys cried injustice and totally forgot that another team played on the same surface and was miles better than them overall.

I mean did you not expect this sarcasm barrage after Nagpur?

Anyway as I said earlier SA are still the best team going around and should be back to their best against England. Unless they are playing Pakistan anytime soon , in the UAE they should be fine on most tours after India.

Vilas just has to go though ... For his keeping first ... then his batting. Apart from that nothing big required.

Anyway India were getting on an Iimpressive test run ... shame there are no tests scheduled anytime soon after this.[DOUBLEPOST=1449248887][/DOUBLEPOST]Anyway India were getting on an Iimpressive test run ... shame there are no tests scheduled anytime soon after this.
