Presentation Ceremony with Mark Taylor

taylorve5.png
: Hello and Welcome to the Presentation ceremony for the first test match between Australia and South Africa, where South Africa have comprehensively defeated Australia by 150 runs. First I would like to call up on the Australian skipper Ricky Ponting. Well Ricky you got to admit that was poor batting by the Aussies.

untitled1iy6rs9.png
: Well 308 was always chaseable on the WACA in the 4th innings but we didn't get the right start that was needed. Our top order failed in both the innings. But credits should be given to the South African bowlers who bowled brilliantly to restrict us under 150 in both the innings.

taylorve5.png
: Do you thing poor shot selection lead to you downfall?

untitled1iy6rs9.png
: Yeah agree with you Mark, our shot selection was not the best and we shouldn't have played the shot which we played. But yeah there are some mistakes and we will try and improve on them in the next match at MCG.

taylorve5.png
: What positives are you gonna take from this match?

untitled1iy6rs9.png
: Well there not many to take from this match but Lee and Krejza 5 wicket haul in the second innings will give them some confidence while Clarke's innings in the second innings also.

taylorve5.png
: Ok Thank You Ricky and good luck for the next match.

untitled1iy6rs9.png
: Thanks Mark.

taylorve5.png
: Now I would like to call up Graeme Smith on the stage. Graeme you must be delighted with the performance of the team. A great way to start a very tough series.

41244305kb5.png
: Yeah,it is always great to start of a series with a win but we didn't play great cricket through-out the game but the result is great. Well everyone chipped in and it was an allround team performance which lead to victory.

taylorve5.png
: Can you give us an update on Ashwell Prince's injury?

41244305kb5.png
: Ashwell got hurt on his left thumb today morning when he took Lee's catch and he will be going for a scan and we hope he recovers before the start of the next match.

taylorve5.png
: Thanks a lot for speaking Graeme and good luck for the next match.

41244305kb5.png
: Cheers.

taylorve5.png
: Now, lets move to man of the match award! Well, its obvious choice. And it goes to Makhaya Ntini for brilliant bowling performance in both the innings taking 9 wickets. Well Makhaya taking 7 wickets in an innings, how do you feel?

mcuk8z.png
: I am feeling very happy and delighted. It really great and especially being to be a part of the winning team is something more better. We have reached our first step but now we need to defend this lead.

taylorve5.png
: How were the conditions out there in the middle?

mcuk8z.png
: They were just brilliant for fast bowlers. The pitch was very hard and had a lot of grass on it. The ball was bouncing well and I was also able to get some swing which was very good.

taylorve5.png
: Thanks for talking Makhaya and good luck for the next game.

mcuk8z.png
: Thanks a lot mate.

taylorve5.png
: So That Concludes our Presentation Ceremony! Hope everyone enjoyed this entire coverage of the first test match and we wouldd be back to u for the next match.Till then take care & bye!

Good presentation ceremony there, Shantanu. Australia don't have many positives to take out of that match as Ricky said, they just need to regroup. Good read, mate. :)

Ntini deserved his MOTM award with his 7 wickets in that end innings, not one of the Aussies i don't think deserved it.

A very bad result for the Aussies, while South Africa will take a lot of confidence into the next match, while the Aussies have a little work to do in the nets.

Good preso mate, loving it

Awesome ceremony their. I agree Ntini was the obvious choice, he was lethal! SA were all over the Aussies here bowling them out for under 150 both times and I agree with Punter that there arent many positives to take from the game. Great update kiu!

Good summary. The ODI series between those four teams should be out of this world! There are 4 quality sides and should all give eachother a real workout.

Bar England. :p Great works as per normal Shan, keep up the good writing.

This looks fantastic Shan, can't wait for it to start. I am backing South Africa. They've just won the test series so will be looking to carry forward the momentum :)

Good story, idea and excellent work on presentation. I'll be backing India.;)

I put my money on the outsiders, England. They don't have much of a chance against the the three best teams in the world but with a bit of luck, you never know. Great stuff as usual Shan :).
