Thank You guys for such Wonderful Comments :happy . Updates coming today.

This story is brilliant thus far.

How did you get all the extras like player faces when they come in to bat?

I dont get that in the game. I make them with the stats from cricinfo.

The Collapse
AB de Villiers and Ashwell Prince were slowly but steadily taking the game away from the Aussies with their partnership. Aussies needed a couple of wickets to make the match balance again. And they did get, not one but two breakthroughs. Siddle who was bowling brilliantly without much reward got the better of Ashwell Prince who was finding it difficult to score runs out there in the middle. Siddle pitched the ball in the good length area. Prince went for the drive but missed the ball as it came back in to hit the off stump. Prince went for 40 and was replaced by keeper Mark Boucher.

Bocuher got of the mark straight away with a four through covers and at the end of the over Aussies looked relaxed a bot after breaking the partnership. But more celebrations were waiting for the Aussies as in the next over Siddle was rewarded with his second and most important wicket of the match. De Villiers went to defend a good length ball but the ball just did much to take the outside edge of the bat and went straight to the hands of Matthew Hayden at first slip. De Villiers received a huge round of applause as he departed for 62. Morne Morkel was the new man to come.

Morne Morkel and Mark Boucher put on a good partnership consisting of boundaries as well as ones and twos. Lee and Siddle were bowling a good line and length but looked tired as they werent consistent with it. They were bowled the odd loose ball once a over which was smashed for four but the two batsman. First Boucher who played the square cut behind point and in front of gully for four and then in the next over played the cover drive again for four.

Ponting decided to give his fast bowlers a rest and bring on his. Jason Krejza was given a very small spell of 2 overs in which he bowled one maiden and went for 1 run. And then Punter introduced his part timers for the last five overs. Simon Katich the slow left arm bowler was given the ball and he started of with a maiden. Michael Clarke anoth slow left arm bowler was given the ball and he like Katich started of with the maiden.

Katcih's second over saw Morkel smash him through covers for four. Runs were not coming easily and the two spinners were bowling a tight line. Clarke was swept for four by Boucher in the second last over of the day. But it was Clarke who had the last laugh as he trapped Boucher leg before. Boucher looked very unhappy and angry as he went back and the replays showed the ball had pitched out the side the off stump and was missing the off stump. But as Bocuher had not played any shot may be convinced the umpire to go in the bwoler's favour. Paul Harris was sent to face the last over of the day.

And he got of the mark with a great cut shot which beat gully all the way for four. With that shot ended the day and it was an eventful day as the match was still balance. Proteas dominated the day but Aussies got three vital wickets in the last hour which made the match balance again. South Africa are 256/7 at stumps on Day 1.

Well looks like Pup did the trick. Great captaincy by Ponting to bring on his part-timers. I reckon the tail might wag a little and South Africa may just reack 300.

Shantanu, I must say you put such effort into your stories with the screocards, hawkeyes, its teemendous. Keep it like this mate! :hpraise :hpraise

australia are back in this match with both dangermen back in the sheds. nice update mate kutgw

Poor umpiring with the Boucher wicket! It didn't even pitch in line with the stumps!

Rubbish umpiring there, almost like how it was in the real series. You need to get Bollinger in there and to have a fight with Bowden ;)

Not a terrible score by SA, hopefully the tail can wag and get them past 300. Fantastic work mate. Your writing and GFX are brlliant, that hawkeye is just like gamerkid's :thumbs This has the potential to be as big as your New Zealand story :)

Aussies Wrap up the Tail.

The game was evenly poised as the Australian players came out on the field behind the two umpires for day two of this first test match. South Africans had lost 3 wickets in the last our yesterday and that had really boosted the Aussies. Now the Aussies had to wrap up the tail before they wag. Lee was given the ball and Ponting must be hoping for a quick breakthrough on Day 2. Brett Lee didn't disappoint his captain as Morne Morkel just faced two balls before he was caught leg before in the crease from a Brett Lee yorker and the umpire had no doubt to give him out, as it was hitting mid and leg stump. Early breakthrough really boosted the Aussies. Dale Steyn was in as the number 10 batsman.

He got of the mark with a four on the onside of the bowling of Johnson. But it was Johnson who had the last laugh as he bowled a beauty to get rid of Steyn. The ball pitching in the good length area and just doing little to get the outside edge of Steyn's bat and was well caught by Michael Hussey at Gully. Steyn departed for 7 of 8 balls and number eleven Makhaya Ntini was in. But it was Lee who wrapped up the South African innings in the fifth over of the day bowling a beauty to get rid of Paul Harris who was finding it difficult out in the middle.

Lee bowled in 140kmph and pitched the ball in the good length area and Harris went to defend it. But the ball came back in a bit and went through gab between Harris' bat and leg to hit the middle stump. With that South Africans were all out for 269 runs. A score which they wouldn't be proud of after being 210 for 4. Australia played looked happy as they walked back to the pavilion. Now it was on the Aussie openers to give them a good start after their bowlers had done the job by restricting the Proteas under 300.

Looks like the Aussies will win. The Saffers need to have a strong bowling attack to claw the match in their favour. Keep it up Shan, superb stuff :)
