Stuart MacGill announces retirement.

I read he was drunk when he showed up for practice. Booze made him retire.

From where did VIV come in. Last checked he was Windian and is not involved with CA. Maybe he was boozing alongside McGill.

I think this is a good thing for Australia. Get a young guy in there. Gives enough time to prepare them for the Ashes.

I've always thought MacGill was over-rated. Sure, his record is good, but remember, most of his games he was playing alongside Warne, which meant 2 spinners, which meant helpful conditions. He rarely played on pitches with no assistance. I'm not bagging the buy. He could really rip the ball and bowl some beautys. However he's always given away that four ball an over.

It's a big loss still, for a guy of his talent to retire.

Hey you guys come on, don't be so hard on Johnson, we in the west Indies love the guy, and we hope he plays the next test match, it would be great to watch and with this guy Casson, whats wrong with that, oh and Gayle will be back so it would be a great test match.

All the opposition in the world loves Johnson :)
If we are to play Casson we need to get in Noffke or Bollinger, don't want a repeat of the 2nd test. Casson fails then we have to look elsewhere probably McGain, if he goes well then we don't have him making his debut in India.

The game was at the Viv Richards Stadium; I imagine they let him wander quite freely, like some sort of Caribbean Denny Crane. It happens that he talked to MacGill when he got to the ground on that day.

Besides, it's not like turning up late has ever cost any Australian cricketers their career. I'd figure the only country that would be hard on alcohol is Pakistan.

Casson was getting 5fers and 4fers and 3fers at the end of the season and hitting tons and 50's too.
So let him bat, I still don't like him as our number 1 spinner. He did alright at the end of the season as I said, but McGain was more consistent.

I would of at least thought he would of played the third Test.

Just going back to the drinking thing, Stuart McGill is going to be hosting his own show called 'Uncorked' about his vineyard travels and 'wine tasting.' hahahahahahaha
And I'm not joking this is for real.
