Whether in real life or in cricket 2004, Harmison seems to be the man!!

Excellent stuff fellas; waiting in anticipation for S to finish the match. This could go down to the wire...

Great highlights S, certainly no 'Mission Impossible' for Shoaib and Murali;) .

Btw, great idea to put the link to the file on YouSendIt so everyone can d/l it:) .

yeah thanks for discovering the site :)

40 overs: Looking mission impossible for Aussies now. World XI have tightened their grip as Australia need 90 runs to win in last 10 overs. 174 for 6. Can the world champions pull off an unlikely win or will World XI go 1-0 up. stay tuned.

Australia go 1-0 up in the Super Challenge 2004

Bridgetown, Barbados: Australia proved yet again why they are the #1 team in the world as they pulled off an unlikely win with just 3 balls to spare.
With 90 needed in the last 10 overs, and 29 in last 3, Lehmann (70 from 89) and Harvey (45 not out from 31) put together a match winning partnership of 90 to get them home. World XI were taken by surprise by the way these two changed gears in the last few overs. World XI may regret expensive overs by Shoaib (16) and Flintoff (20 :( ), but full credit to the Australians for this outstanding performance. Last over was not without drama, with 7 needed Lehmann top edged to thirdman (I celebrated as if I was on the field ;)) , there was a close wide ball call , and then Harvey found the narrowest of gaps in the out field to hit the winning boundry :(.
Heartbreaking for World XI, but looking back they were probably 20 runs short on this pitch.

congrats Ravi, easily the closest game I had with C2004.

Tony Greg: Welcome back to Kensington Oval where we have just witnessed one of the most thrilling games you would ever see. With us is Stephen Fleming, Stephen, disappointed to lose after getting so close?
Fleming: Yes Tony, we thought we had a good chance going into last 10 overs, but full credit to Lehmann and Harvey for pulling this off.

Greg: Any thoughts about some of the bowling changes?
Fleming: Not really, all of them are world class players, but anything can happen in cricket and we saw that.

Greg: Next game is at Lords where your black caps won a tournament just last month, looking to stage a comeback there?
Fleming: Very much Tony, we feel there is lot of cricket left in this series, there are some very good players keen to get back and things won't be easy for the Aussies any time soon.

Greg: All the best for the next game Stephen.
Just amazing scenes here at the ground, the crowd certainly got their moneys worth witnessing some world class players at their best. The series by no means over and we have some exciting games in prospect.
Well then while we await to get hold of the winning captain Ricky Ponting, we'll take a short break..

Wow, what a match:eek: . I bet you were on the edge of your seat in that last over S, great stuff. Looking forward to those video highlights;) .

well I could not believe for some time that I lost :D that's the kind of match it was..
as for the Aussies, World XI reportedly called a team meeting in the evening to analyze some videos etc.

That was one terrific game there S  . You have had moments in the game and my ploy of holding on to wickets for giving CPU to show its batting skills paid off very well I suppose. Pretty much real life and Harvey had to pull off this one to keep his place. I was thinking about dropping him for the next game after he had conceeded lots of runs in spite of getting 4 wickets. He is hopefully the man of the match. There were some very calculated innings by Tendulkar, Dravid, Ponting & Lehmann too. Its a pity Lara could not go on otherwise World XI could have even scored 300. Thanks to our beloved umpire he didnt let us down;) :p

The next game you can decide which slots you want to bat and bowl. I now have few desirable selection headaches.

The highlights are absolutely top class, some of the shots are very nice to look at. The sixes are great to watch and the one landing almost out of the ground hit by Murali may have made Gillispie give up bowling forever. ;) :p
