LOL, Perarasu is still taking movies in city(sh*tty) names. Eventhough, few films of him are entertaining.
A film named, Thiruthani starring Barath and Sunaina gonna release tomorrow.

Scheduled releases this year according to this wiki page are as follows.

19 - Pizza, Thiruthani
26 - Aarohanam

November
9 - Thuppaki
13 - Kumki, Poda Podi

12 - Kochadaiyaan
14 - Alex Paandian.

And Alex Pandian trailer looks aweful. Anyone watched it?

As long as Mani Ratnam remains making films, he will be my most favorite director. Second comes Gautham Vasudev Menon. And third would be Shankar.

Kochadaiyaan has been postponed for a Pongal release since post production work is going to take longer than expected due to the animation/performance capture technology.

I hope Kadal releases this year end (for Christmas). Now that Kochadaiyaan is going for Pongal 2013, Kadal should hopefully come out this year.

I like Selvaraghavan's films. Secondly, GVM and Mani Ratnam.
There are lot of music directors I like, AR Rahman, Yuvan, Harris, GV Prakash and even Anirudh.
But my favorite one is Yuvan.

Vikram -> Some different tries with hard work, although no recent mega success for him after Saami.
Surya -> Always give surprises with his new appearances. Quite entertaining and hard working chap our Tamil industry has got!
Vijay -> Same action formula with same style of punch dialogues.
Ajith -> His project, Billa have raised his standards though his next project, Aegan did not satisfy any people. Nothing working for him as Sai said.
RajiniKanth -> Though he is like one of the crowned kings, I will say, his style and Background music is what keeping him still alive in Tamil industry. One example is his last movie,Shivaji.. Without ARR's music, that movie would have been a total flop for sure
VijayKanth -> Captain! hmm hmm. No words to describe him only.
KamalHassan -> one of the Crowned kings again. Though he works very hard and depends on his own acting for success. I was just amazed with his 10 roles in Dasavatharam.
Silambarasan -> I personally hate this guy. Over acting ..Yucky!
Prashanth -> haha one of the great heroes isn't he? that too with mega hit movies like London, Jambhavan etc etc

Anyone to do a list like this? Sai? Let's start the discussion about heros.

Added to that hero list,i would like to add my favourite hero Maddy.This guy has the least number of haters i am sure.I dont see anyone saying i hate Madhavan.His films are all decent enough to say,some are really awesome but.Some films of him that have bombed in the box office were all really nice actually.I enjoyed watching them.Heard of Ennavale,Paarthale Paravasam,Vaazhthukkal?These three are the films that really flopped for Madhavan but seriously i liked all of them.

Maddy's movies are clean, and highly recommended for family watching. Have you seen Yavarum Nalam? Excellent movie... The movie was a pretty good hit too in Tamil.

You don't see much of Maddy in Tamil cinema because of the kind of films and heroes the current Tamil audience likes. They like their heroes with a streak of bad-ness in them. Also Maddy doesn't enjoy/suit today's Tamil masala cinema.

Saw Maattrraan today, man, I really don't know what to say(it was okay). Spoiler time.

I seriously couldn't get past how the family just totally ignored Vimalan and got on with their life, like are you kerplucking kidding me? Akhilan - Your dad tried to kill you by putting a pillow over your head, but you're okay with it(), Tara - Your husband tried to kill one of your sons by putting a pillow over his head, but you're okay with it too().

Still can't believe they killed Vimalan, very early too, was truly sad. Can't say I didn't see it coming, because I did, they really emphasized the one heart thing.

I definitely need to watch it again, missed a lot of dialogues, thanks Theater crowd.

Yup saw FDFS.Every Maddy's film i try to go FDFS,very rarely i missed First Show but never missed First Day.Yaavarum Nalam i watched 7 times in the theater.
