Tamil Music/Movie Thread

Today heard Mummy Daddy from the film Villu. Loved this song. Didn't understand it at all, but what a song.

There are a lot of better songs for you to check then!
I'm sure Sai will soon post a list, so wait. :p

May I know how did you hear it? Anyone suggested it?

NKPK is very good. Check it out guys.

Quite confused on what to hear with many albums released of late.
Alex Pandian, Kanna Laddu Thinna..., Paradesi, Samar and so on. Please suggest the best songs out of these Sai. :p

Rajini anthem by Lawrence and Vijay Antony.

@Puli @Sai @Others:Out of the whole big family of PlanetCricket.net,only myself,Sai and Puli are Thamizhans??I see so many people commenting in Hindi and English threads but only 3 here.Sometimes EPIC joins. No more thamizhans here?

There are many senior members like Cricketman, shravi and Haarithan. They're inactive. Few others aren't interested to discuss about cinema. That's the reason for 4 member discussion here.

I am not even going to go near Alex Pandian, Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya. DSP and Thaman don't excite me at all, and I am hearing that Alex Pandian songs are the typical staple DSP commercial remix masala. Same with KLTA and Thaman. Samar is below average, with only one song (Azhago Azhagu) good in it. I didn't try Paradesi as I heard bad reviews for it and I am not interested in the music of a Bala film as normally they are not that great. Even Pithamagan had two good songs (Elangaatu Veesudhe and that medley).

'Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal' is the best so far. Yuvan has struck rich with this album. I am waiting for "Ethir Neechal" today from Anirudh and the mega biggie "Kadal" by Rahman and Mani.

Haari is Tamil? :o

Ethir Neechal - "Boomi Enna Suthudhe"

Super song!!! Carefree lyrics by Dhanush, with great tune by Anirudh.... Also hear this!

Ethir Neechal - "Un Paarvayil"

Awesome kick-ass background score!!!! Gives a very "Poopol Poopol" (Minnale) feel to it. My hairs stand on one end when hearing this track! Awesome, Anirudh! Also, here is another beast of a kuthu track!

Ethir Neechal - "Local Boys"

Theri kuthu!!!! Thooki eduthutanunga mass!!!

Haari is Tamil? :o

Yes, he seems so...

Sounds good to me, to pick the best of the lot I'd go with Local Boys.

Rahman's "Kadal" songs are out too. Considering the hype around Mani Ratnam and Rahman (which is huge), the songs are dampener for first hearing... But with Rahman's recent trend, the songs should get better on subsequent listenings.

Wonder if Rahman will ever get back to the days when his songs used to be instantly catchy all over!

I was watching Bigg Boss. And the song was used to wake up the contestants in the morning. So I youtubed Mummy and Daddy song, and this was one of the first options.

Edhir Neechal, cool album after decades! Not to the standard of 3 which was more of a love feel addiction. All songs are good.

Local Boys, theri kuthu! Yeah, loving to hear this. Finally Anirudh succeeds in this. Kolaveri was mix of kuthu but this is complete one.

Boomi enna suthuthu, It's good but would have been better if any other singer sung it.

Ninaivellam maranthu pochu, Nice song, good singing by Dhanush.

Mohit Chauhan wasn't required for Velicha Poove. He will do better in other type of songs.

I am completely satisfied by the album. :cheers

Seeing a lot mixed reviews for NEP, will just wait for one of you guys to take the bullet on this one. ;)

NEP Tamil version got poor reviews while the Telugu one got good reviews. I'm sure Tamil one is the best like VTV cause obviously, Jiiva is a better actor than Nani.

Me too not watching NEP now because of mixed reviews. Also since I am moving to Dallas this weekend for job, I will probably watch NEP next week (or weekend) in Dallas.
