I had seen 'Ethir Neechal' movie.It is an excellent movie.Music and story are excellent.I suggest to tamil friends to watch this movie in theatre.

Thala 53 teaser is amazing but i am afraid Ajith is starting to become like Vijay.Same looks,same coat & suit from Billa.He is doing typecast roles,for a second i thought i was seeing Mankatha scenes.Anyways its nice,hope Ajith Arya combo works out well.Maddy-Arya combo in Vettai came out really well,so expecting a lot from Ajith-Arya too.
"Nenje Ezhu" from Mariyaan - BRILLIANT, TERRIFIC and JUST A.W.E.S.O.M.E.E.E.E.E!!!! Without too many layering, Rahman makes the song beautifully simple and decides to focus on the emotions underlying the song and hits the heart with a thumping bang!! The beautiful pacing of the song from slow to the peak is just superb....... Hats off! Well, who am I doffing my hat to? The master...... He is just unbelievable!
I have a feeling that people might complain at the beginning about the song being too simple. Well, the simplicity of the song is where lies its inherent beauty. In a song that tries hard to impress the listener, the required emotions and the message mostly gets lost. A simpler song turns the focus on where it needs to be - the emotions! This song achieves that with ease, and makes you listen to it again and again.. Thats Rahman magic for U!

I hope its not another 'Thala' worship vehicle. Mankatha succeeded because it had its focus on the story apart from Ajith's screen presence. This teaser by Vishnu looked like an AD for Ajith on his b'day. Hope the film has more to it than just Ajith.

Ordinary movie it was! Had the movie not taken itself seriously and had just been a laugh riot, it would have worked wonders. But the movie heavily falters as it decides to take itself too seriously, and seriousness just doesn't work for this particular team.
Siva Karthikeyan is brilliant as a comedian or a comic hero, but is a gross misfit as the romantic and emotional/inspirational type hero. His expressions are plastic when he tries to romance Priya Anand (who is drop dead gorgeous!) or when he tries to do all the "inspirational" rising from the phoenix type hero who runs a marathon because of some silly reason (still don't remember wat that reason is, which explains how silly it was). The film is not without highlights. The comedy is a very big highlight, with Siva and his Marina friend giving plenty of laughs in the first half. The songs are another highlight (though the title track "Ethir Neechal Adi" is ***** badly on the visual side). Also, the cameo by a certain superstar is a highlight and brings the house down.

Very happy with the way Tamil film music is panning out these days.... Just heard the songs of "Thanga Meengal" by Yuvan Shankar Raja (Katradhu Thamizh director Ram's 2nd movie with Gautham Menon's production). BRILLIANT MUSIC!!! 4 songs, but highly effective and soul stirring songs. Esp. the "Aanandha Yazhai" song by Sriram Parthasarathy is so emotional and puts you into a calm soothing state.
Also another excellent album is "Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu (555)" starring Bharath. A very youthful urbane album with catchy music. Music in Tamil films these days have certainly stepped up big time. And with many albums of Rahman, Harris and Yuvan coming up in the next few months, ITS CELEBRATION TIME for Tamil movie lovers
Also another excellent album is "Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu (555)" starring Bharath. A very youthful urbane album with catchy music. Music in Tamil films these days have certainly stepped up big time.
