Mhm, did you see Naan Kadavul/like Naan Kadavul?

One big positive in the movie is Athaarva's performance. SPLENDID! He was the reason why I didn't leave the theatre mid-way. And Dhansikaa too. Didn't know who dubbed for her but it was very good. Athaarva, I thought, won't be that big an actor just like his dad Murali, but with just one movie he proves me mighty wrong. If he picks the right films, he can be 5x bigger and better than his dad.

Thank goodness, was really not looking forward to her dubbing work after seeing Aravaan... that raspy voice of hers can go do one.

And I'm taking Vedhika didn't do all that well? I mean, you mentioned everyone but her. :p

Saw "Kadal" finally....I liked the movie though the story was predictable....:thumbs

Yes...... I didn't like her at all. In the initial parts, she tried to do the bubbly act, and was OTT to the core that it was very irritating. Once the serious parts set in, all she does is cry and then disappears.

Just saw 25 mins of "Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga". And decided...... that my time is very important to me and it should not be wasted on this wastrel of a film. Don't know why.... but I never like any film where Vimal acts as a hero in it. Didn't like "Kalakalappu", "Kalavani" and some others also. And now this one... I love Sivakarthikeyan in his Vijay TV programs, but in his films, his comic timing is completely absent. He should probably bring his Vijay TV program directors with him everywhere. Soorraaa mokka padam.........

Mhm, I actually didn't think it was all that bad, probably wouldn't watch it again, but you know what I mean. :p

Watched "Haridas". Brilliant movie. Touched on the topic of autism. The acting by Kishore and that small kid was excellent. Sneha was apt for her role too. One sore thumb was the background score of Vijay Antony. Lifting the background score of Ilayaraja's "Anjali" makes it a huge sore thumb. Does he think we wont spot it out?

Otherwise, a great film... A must watch in the times of senseless comedies like Kedi Billa, OKOK, Kalakalappu, etc.

Saw Chennayil Oru Naal yesterday.A nice film to watch except few minor flaws. The car scene involving Cheran is so very well done.Everyone has done some justice to their roles. In this time of stupid logic less tamil films,CON is really a nice one.

I want to watch "Chennaiyil Oru Naal" too. But they are not showing it here in Texas. I wish they did! It definitely sounds like my kind of a film, gripping narrative.

Yeah, its pretty gripping and sentimental.Realistic too.Very nice piece of work on that picture.Samuthrakani has done a good job.

I agree. Saw it Today. Good work by GNR Kumaravelan.

Watched "Chennaiyil Oru Naal". Well mixed feelings about the film. The storyline was gripping, and the narrative was taken forward pretty well. But the acting, the cast selection and the climax were major dealbreakers for me to call this film "good". The casting was horrible, especially those love birds Karthik and Anita. Terrible actors both of them. Cheran was miscast as the traffic constable, he has always been a very dull and drab actor. And so was Prakashraj as the Superstar. I mean in one scene, Prakashraj's daughter is shown seeing "Abhiyum Naanum" on TV where he plays a father's role and yet he is shown as a Tamil cinema's reigning Superstar??? Kodumai.... Prasanna is a very mediocre actor, and someone like Karthik (that Alaipayuthey guy, who played Shalini's fiance) would have been better.

And that climax with Surya and his fans, what were they trying to do???? Surya has started becoming very artificial and fake with his acting and his philanthropy stuff. He should probably get back to being the innocent and unstarry guy that did justice to many roles like Anbuselvan, Sanjay Ramasamy, Nanda, etc. But overall, I would rate the film just above average. Could have been a lot better though.
