...And please don't say Singam II is great! :lol
Really an average movie.I am still wondering how he doesn't even get a single injury in all those fight scence and the epic 'car hit surya' scene..lol.No major role for anyone..
But I am sure his fans will say Singam II broke Thuppaki box office collection records...

Yet another fan of ----- ---- here.Cool

You people said Velayudham and Vettaikaran as nice films, several people died after seeing that movie!Talking about Suriya you guys!Get a life!

Comparing the movies that Surya and Vijay have done for their last 3-4 films, Vijay has clearly and very easily crushed up Surya.

Surya's last 4 films - Singam II (superhit), Maattraan (flop), 7am Arivu (flop), Raktha Charitra (disaster)

Vijay's last 4 films - Thuppakki (blockbuster), Nanban (superhit), Velayudham (hit), Kaavalan (hit)

Surya is following the Vijay path right now, by making nonsense masala movies! Vijay has changed track and is now doing better films with good directors like Murugadoss, Shankar, etc. You can be a Surya fanatic, but don't talk nonsense here... You have a very narrow mindset when it comes to liking films (you like only romance genre; for you, Madhavan is a big guy compared to others, etc).

Yes,Madhavan is my most favourite hero but i wont say he is the best hero.Favourite means not the best.Hit and flop arent really an issue. There are a lot of nice films that did not run due to stupid politics and fans. Its about the film.I dont like action movies but i loved Singam 2 for Suriya,i dont like Murugadoss,i dont hate Vijay but i hate his fans, but Thupakki was a brilliant movie.I wouldnt have responded to Win here.He bought in Thupakki and Singam comparison,i am very active in social networking and i found no one telling craps like that,he targetted Suriya fans wantedly,so i targetted his hero.Thats it.Yes Sai,i am a no movie buff and i dont even watch much movies.I love only romantic films,i do accept it all but he targetted Suriya fans wantedly,so i responded.I know you like Vijay a lot, that doesnt mean you can blindly support Win without understanding why i replied like that.

There is some element of truth in what Win said. Each group of fans trumphet their hero's success and greatly exaggerate it to the extent where its not true at all. Even Vijay fans have done it before where they will say "Velayudham broke Billa's record" and so on.

I am a neutral. I like Vijay, I like Surya, I even like Ajith to an extent. I don't like certain things in both of them (Vijay for sticking to a formula and not experimenting much, and also being very lazy in script selection and over relying on his father; Surya for over exaggerating his expressions to the point where he looks to be overacting; and bringing in artificial drama even in real life).

First line he forced people not to like Singam 2.
Last line he "SELF ASSUMED"
Second line was his view.
Only second line is acceptable because everyone can have their view.
I dont understand what element of truth is here.
P.S:I am not a Vijay hater,i liked a lot of Vijay movies like Kadhalukku Mariyadhai,Thullatha manamum thullum,Priyamanavale,Once more,Udhaya...

People who force others don't use the word "please".

Second line - His view.

Last Line - His assumptions are based on historical happenings. It has happened before, and therefore he is assuming a similar happening in the current scenario too. Like I said, not all Surya fans will say Singam II broke Thuppakki records. But there are a significant number of Surya fans who say such stuff. I am in orkut communities too, and I am already seeing some people talk about it. But I am not saying that Singam II won't beat Thuppakki records in real. He believes a film that breaks another film's record is obviously the better film, and that's wrong. But he didn't say anything for you to come out and abuse Vijay (using words like Visay; renaming his film names to vulgar rhyming words).

Nope.I told you clearly,he targetted Suriya fans,i am one among them,so i targetted his hero.He targets the fans doesnt mean i do the same,he started it,i ended it.
And "Please" cannot be considered here, see the way in which he has told.If you need to support someone you will keep getting points somehow Sai.Not new,in every thread you and me have been on the opposite ends.

You have also been harping the same nonsense over and over again, MadhavanGovind. You also come up with points to defend yourself even though you targeted Vijay directly with very offensive and vulgar words.

If you think he targetted you, you should reply back to him instead of targetting Vijay. There are other people here too who like Vijay and who don't like hearing offensive stuff about Vijay. I didn't want to report that post of yours, but you seem to be forcing me to do so with your silly explanations/defence for your derogatory post against Vijay.

Movie (Singam-II) is just 3 days old, and yet its being called the "biggest blockbuster of 2013". If this is not comedy, what else is? A movie that has been carrying mixed reports since Day 1, is being hailed as the biggest blockbuster of the year.

the epic 'car hit surya' scene..lol.No major role for anyone..

Yes I agree that this scene is Illogical but hey, this is is definitely better than various scenes like Vijay Flying from some place to right on top or near the train he wants catch while being chased by a group of goondas in Kuruvi etc.... This particular scene in singam 2 though it is absurd, it can be easily overlooked and the movie can be enjoyed without any "Oh My God!" moments thereon.... Bottomline is though the movie has some other Illogical scenes other than the above scene, It is an engaging family entertainer! :)

There are a lot of posts where you talk absolute noncense too.If he targets Suriya fans, doesnt mean i need to target Vijay fans,i can target anything that will hurt them.Just because you report my message, doesnt mean you are a king and i am a slave.I know you are elder to me and that is why i am respecting what you do.Dont take that as an advantage.

This shows how much level of maturity you have. Your maturity level is smaller than the size of a peanut. I have the option of reporting your post, and I did. If that makes you think you are a slave, you really need some urgent counselling with a psychiatrist because you seem to be having inferiority issues. As far as your last line goes, I don't even know how old you are and I don't factor that when I talk to strangers online.

I hope we get back on topic soon, and keep this discussion to private messaging or other forms.

Okay gang, for some reason this discussion is getting off track, too personal. I dont know why and as I am not familiar with the whole cultural aspect here it is tricky to pass judgement. However forum rules are there for a reason. Read them through again before posting. Keep it clean and fun. Nothing wrong with a discussion but keep your heads on! Thanks.

Will keep an eye on this for a bit. Hope to see we are moving on. Cheers.

Finally, watched Singam-II. I am not a big fan of masala films or the Hari brand of films, but this one I liked it for the most part. It was not Surya, though he did a good job. It was the screenplay and the suspense that Hari kept into it, that kept me hooked. Esp. the second half was engaging for me (many said 2nd half let the film down, but not for me). Hansika had a good role and she did well. Anushka was OK, just a filler. Santhanam was good, Vivek was there just for the connect between Singam and Singam-II. Among the villians, Raghuman and that Hollywood guy were good.

There were flaws and irritations galore. For e.g., Surya's dialog delivery has upped the decibel levels several notches, and it was painful on the ear on quite a few occasions. He shouts a lot because he (or Hari) think that they can portray aggression only by shouting. The songs in the film were downright horrible (DSP, please go back to Telugu cinema where you do good music; we don't need you here). The film again sticks ever so loyally to the Hari formula. I mean Hari seems to be having an ego problem where he is challenging his critics by saying "I will make films like this only... And people have to watch it no matter what". The dialect used in his films, the rural setting, the rural slang, etc. All Hari films look and feel the same. But he scores in the screenplay here.

Overall: Watchable film, but be prepared to have your remote on hand to reduce the volume whenever Surya shouts. 3.3/5

Watched singam 2 first day,i am surprised it is far better than other masala flims definitely an blockbuster 3.9/5.

Maryan's out and is getting rave reviews from both the critics and the masses, can't wait to see it! :yes

Watching it tomorrow! The reviews have been pretty glowing, more so about Dhanush, Parvati, the cinematography and the music.
