Tendulkar's career seems to be over...

r

Jeez Greg Chappell has mentioned that if a certain player cannot maintain his fitnees consistently then he will be dropped out of the team no matter who he is :mad.

Yes. Thats good. If Tendulkar cant maintain his fitness, he has to be dropped for sure! But now thats not the case. Tendulkar has almost recovered from his injury and is expected to return anytime. Even Greg Chappell is eagerly awaiting Tendulkar's return. He said in a recent interview in Zimbabwe that he wanted Tendulkar for the two tests against Zimbabwe and was disappointed at his non availability. It seems Chappell is excited at the prospect of being in the same dressing room of Tendulkar! He respects Sachin a lot!

Who cares about Tendulkar when Dhoni is there? :D

You compare Tendulkar with Dhoni? Ok, tell me whats so special about Tendulkar that you find in Dhoni? Aggressive batting?

Tendulkar's experience and the psychological hold that he has over the opposition cant be replaced by any other player in the current line up! Feels sick to see him being compared with a raw inexperienced young sensation, Dhoni!

I wouldn't hold your hopes on him being as good as he was, this injury could take it's toll.

But again, its a matter of "could". of course, i dont disagree that the injury could take its toll on him. but i, as many other sachin fans, hope he is back to a position which is as close to his best as possible! Importantly, we need him to script us victories!

i think the biggest blunder he committed was during the bangladesh series.
he should have opted out of the series and allowed some rest to his tennis elbow. Since he played, this aggravated the injury and thats why he is unable to play now.
nevertheless, we should all he optimistic and hope to see sachin make a dramatic comeback, and ofcourse score that elusive test century to take him to the top of the all time list :) :) :)

Yep and I also agree that Tendulkar will be back, hopefully with a bang as he is great for cricket and for Team India!

Yes, I agree, it would have been wise to take his leave as soon as possible.

Whatever it is, its not wise now to look into what could've happened! The wish of his fans is now that he should return back and perform well to the needs of the team!

Thought it sounds as though it's just Australia praise, I think it's most important what Tendulkar says about Warne himself. "He plays cricket the hard way" It's a very big compliment from Tendulkar, I think, also one, if you look at Tendulkar's bowling, that can easily be reciprocated. When the chips are down, Tendulkar can bowl, much like Warne can bat, regardless of ability, it's about fight and will.

Does anyone remember when South afirca in this semi-final needed only 5 runs to win in the last over with 5 wickets in hand. Tendulkar came onto bowl and gave away 3 runs and picked up 1 wicket. Tendulkar is a match-winner with bat and ball.
