Tendulkar's career seems to be over...

As long as his elbow let's him. This injury will sort of always be there it won't go away. I think he'll be alright for the WIndies. If he comes back to early with his same heavy type of bat the injury would worsen. It's almost certainly going to affect him.

Yes, I wish he rethinks of the weight of his bat and try out what the others feel he should do with his bat! Of course, people are concerned of his success. So I wish he gives some thought to what his well wishers say about his bat causing that injury to worsen!

His Bat Should now weigh Half of the current bat !
Heavy Bat can only make things worse for the little master.

it has already.he played with the heavy bat during the aussie tests and pakistan tour too.

A heavier bat makes a big contribution but so will Batting beit with a light or heavy bat, Sachin has to be careful or he won't go the WIndies.

some people never get enough of Sachin Tendulkar,

face the truth my friends,Tendulkar is gone and if he comes back he will never be the same player as he was 5 years back.

We exactly dont want the same rampaging Sachin Tendulkar who tormented bowlers 5 years back! We are ready to see a Sachin Tendulkar who gets lots of runs and wins matches for the team and he still has the ability to do that! And his only fitness problem has been his tennis elbow which has now been operated upon. What other fitness problem does he have? He has never been a poor fielder. He has been a great runner between wickets (even though he is slightly of the stout mould!). He has been a good fielder and of course, an exceptional batsman who can still show glimpses of his great rampaging form.

He cant hammer the bowlers always! We want to see a new Sachin Tendulkar! We need his experience, his class! And we need him for the person he has been - full of humility. Never has he been embroiled into controversies. He has been a clean man always (along with our Wall, Dravid!). In this Indian team, we need such guys!

remove sachin as he has not done anything in the pakistan series and indian series. This is enough. He has to be sacked same as Hayden.

Well even if Sachin comes back, it wouldn't make much of a difference to this Indian side. He is past his best a long way.

I think it's funny that a Sachin Tendulkar who's well past his best and should be dropped is still better than 80% of the players in world cricket.

According to who? I think Tendulkar at the moment is in the bottom 50% of batsman in world cricket.

well i just looked on CricIinfo and used the test filter, he has averaged 50+ since 2002.

average should not be the only the criteria for deciding a player.
If that is so ganguly's average is better than ever before since after the 2003 world cup.
Tendulkar is 17th in the odi rankings and
13th in tests.

That would arguably put him in the top 80%. Certainly not bottom 50%.

i would never say drop sachin tendulkar. its just that he has not performed according to the enormous expectations set on him by the spectators! but other than that, his average shows that he has been consistently scoring runs! if the team cannot win, he cant be fully blamed though he being a team member should also take part of the blame!

i am sure sachin is among the top 80% of the current best batsman in world cricket. and i also have the hope that he will reclaim his place at the top of the heap among batsmen!
