Btw vote of confidence? AO is 10 times, currently, the game that TWT is, and I have rented out TWT on PS4, and previously bought the XB1 version digitally of TWT (I demanded Microsoft refund me and they did), to know the reality of that, there is no choice to make CazCat, AO is the way to go!

I purchased AO firstly on PS4 back in January, and now on Steam since v1.27 gave me the Xmas present I was waiting for from Santa Mikey Merren and his reluctant Boss "Ross".....yep, all that spin...(I mean Sidespin, not Ross's spin!!!) <only kidding Ross!>

Still hasnt stopped me buying TWT for tomorrow morning download on Steam just to hope that BigBen looks at how AO has been patched to be what it is today and follow suit in time and listen to their customers like Mikeymerren did.................and I eagerly await their "36% complete" version of TWT..........which will probably still play like a lump of doggy turd.

Blimey, its a good job I'm not still married, the last year and the divorce almost killed me let alone the marriage!


Just about to upload some amazing videos of Grand Slam Tennis 2 running finally at FULL speed on RPCS3 (PS3 Emulator), the emulator I think has just had a huge update and if it can get GST 2 running like this, I cannot wait to see what its done to PS3's Red Dead Redemption,which already was looking good at 10fps albeit painful at that fps...

Which, BTW, is still less idiotic than not having the game, or ever playing it, and commenting on it from online videos - it's a bit like watching a concert via an iPhone uploaded recording and giving a critique.

There are many, many factors that skew the AI, to many to list, but as an example, lowest difficulty has players hit it directly back to the opposing player *every* time - of course that's going to majorly effect the play.

AI v AI could play the perfect game without error, it is currently skewed and tuned to play against a human players performance, we do not spend time tuning it for strictly AI v AI.

hey not to worry Ross, because whichever level of CPU/AI I set the game to, it plays lovely in AI vs AI mode and not at any stage does the AI on either side play as if it "knows" it is against a human player, so maybe your AI code has no "reactive" coding to counteract what the human or another AI opponent is doing.

Its very rare even for modern games to have reactive AI that "learns" the human players instincts and often used play style/shot selection, and I must admit if you have also included that in your AI then that is another string to the bow of this games AI intellect.

I am just so glad that my pestering to have sidespin in the game on ground strokes has meant this game can now only go from an initial weakness...............to STRENGTH!!!!!!!!!!!

would be good to see the difference in reactive AI from the EA game to TWT... Keep up the good work x

Ok Ross you're obviously reading and commenting on this forum so here we go,

Look dude as someone who loves Tennis both releases are poor I played Top Spin 4 today for the first time in years and had a blast I thought I might have faded out of Tennis games after playing AOIT and TWT but no I still love them I just don't like BAD Tennis games.

Ok I've said my peace, as a fan of the genre I really do want both games to improve as their is issues with both of them. It would be great to have two new tennis games coming out around the same time every year battling for top position and really setting the bar for what Tennis games should be just like Top Spin and Virtua Tennis did all those years ago.
