Test Your Internet Speed

haha weird Abhas my campus is the same way, the plugged in internet runs around 100-200 but the Wifi is barely 25 MB

My plugged in internet at campus is about that speed, but the wifi is 128kbps :facepalm

When you're plugged in though you have a download limit of 200MB while wifi is unlimited.

we have a weekly allotment of 1 GB for DL at the normal speeds and if you exceed it you get bumped down to the secondary network that runs at about 15 MB but it's unlimited. If you live in the dorms its even higher. End of the week it resets and you start over

How exactly does that work out?

Seems fine, but a bit slow than what I normally get. Upload speed has increased from around 2.7 to 3.32 but download speed has considerably gone down. Nonetheless, 5.32 Mbps is not bad.

And as soon as I typed this I did a test again and got the download speed above 6 Mbps, not bad at all for a personal connection.

wow! what connection is that?
Lol, I guess that 'wow' was a sarcasm! 6 Mbps isn't that good, when people here have been posting their speedtest results of about 100 or 200 Mbps. :p

And it's the Vodafone 3G USB Stick.

No, honestly it wasn't sarcasm. India doesn't have too many people with such speeds.
Ah. 3G, that makes sense. I thought vodafone had moved into mainstream broadband.

Enjoy the speeds as longs as you can, because as more people subscribe to it, speeds are likely to deteriorate.
What are the plans, and how much do you pay for it anyway?

That is actually really good! Is it a promotional price, or is it likely to remain the same in about 3 months?

----------

This sucks. Mumbai gets unlimited internet at Rs 599/month, and Delhi gets it for Rs 899/month! :mad

All the users who purchase the stick on or before 31st of this month can continue to use the plans at the rate I mentioned. Later, they will be charged according to the new tariff which is not yet decided.
