His ISP says Mahanagar telephone, which must be MTNL.

Afaik BSNL is the govt. service provider in all cities except Delhi and Mumbai, where we have MTNL.

I'm very much happy with my ISP

If I'm not wrong, it's offers the highest speed at the most affordable rates. I pay Rs.660 for 4 Mbps. The FUP is a bit low at only 25 GB though.

Download speed:3.400Mbps
Upload speed :2.32Mbps

Get pretty terrible speeds though. Better than before but still at the low end of what ADSL2+ is capable of. It's cos the way the wiring works around my place the exchange I'm connected to is 2.5km away, even though there are ones about 200m away.

wow what an india . Last time i used Tata Photon Whiz. Speed really sucks. Hated it. Its better to use mobile connection in pc than photon whiz. Anyway its been 2 years i have stopped using net in pc.

Which is the best economic service provider in India? I guess it's BSNL. Docomo and Airtel plans go above 1k while BSNL gives unlimited, 2mbps for Rs.800
