The Ashes (Australia tour of England)

Who will take the urn in the 2019 Ashes?

  • Total voters
    16
  • Poll closed .
That's pretty much the line up George Dobell was advocating on Cricinfo last night. Crawley instead of Denly. Crawley's record isn't exactly dazzling but can't argue with taking a punt on him instead of Denly.

Question now: what do you think the actual line up will be for the first test in New Zealand?

  • Burns
  • Sibley
  • Root
  • Pope
  • Stokes
  • Bairstow
  • Buttler

Bairstow and Buttler had enough chances for me, time to give someone else a go
Literally everyone thinks that. I was answering the question of what I expect the actual team to be - my preferred team was about two posts higher up the thread.

Just imagine the utterly impossible and England see out the overs! Aussies would be scarred for life surely!

But yeah it wont happen![DOUBLEPOST=1567959803][/DOUBLEPOST]New ball time.....Houston I dont like clichés .....but.....

Needed the light to be much worse than it has been today[DOUBLEPOST=1567959968][/DOUBLEPOST]Start claiming we can't see the ball properly is the only way to go now

The frustrating thing though is that there are a lot of ifs for England throughout this series. I think the Aussies deserve to win and they have had much more consistent quality both with bat and ball but England have had their chances.....[DOUBLEPOST=1567960091][/DOUBLEPOST]Masses of respect to Overton and Leach! I would be utterly soiling myself!

Yeah like what if we had another bowler to call on with them in trouble at 122-8 at Edgbaston with Broad & Woakes knackered

What if Leachy hadn't put his foot over the line in that first innings and Roy hadn't dropped Paine either

For what it is worth the aussie bowlers ate having to put in a lot of work before the next test starts in a few days......

Terrible weather forecast for tomorrow, why can't it come now :lol
I'm actually more worried at the moment about Lyon bowling than I am about the quicks.
