Goughie just said on his show on Talksport that he thought Silverwood should be the next England coach. What do people think to that idea?

I heard they were interested in Ottis Gibson, also interested in Mickey Arthur and Gary Kirsten.Think Kirsten would be a good choice or maybe Paul Collingwood.

Woakes and Curran in......Roy and Overton out![DOUBLEPOST=1568206994][/DOUBLEPOST]Overton should feel a bit hard done by........but if truth be told he didnt really bring much more to the team apart from his dogged batting...but he aint there for that.

Denly is NOT a test opener: has played and missed God knows how many.....and out to a ball he doesnt need to play.....[DOUBLEPOST=1568284989][/DOUBLEPOST]We all know it all of us know it....Root exposed again......just the same old patterns......[DOUBLEPOST=1568285027][/DOUBLEPOST]And this was the HIGHEST opening partnership for England of the whole series......correction: BOTH teams!!!

Why on earth is Mitch Marsh in this side over the vice-captain of this team? Head was supposed to be one of the established batsmen for Australia now and was arguably the most impressive when Smith and co were banned. His exclusion makes very less sense and when his replacement is a Marsh out of all the people, it is ludicrous to say the least.

Sure, the lefties may all be vulnerable to Broad’s spells. But any competent bowler will be sending Marsh back in no time. I’d rather have a leftie with just one weakness over an ‘all-rounder’ with weaknesses all over the place.

Siddle over Starc is a sensible move on the other hand and I’m glad to see that the few excellent deliveries he bowled didn’t mask his overall poor record in the last test.
