Really  I didnt know Akhtar lost his pace! He is the same Akhtar (although an improved show-offer) we had before. Akhtar can bowl faster than Lee or even Bond any day. Harmison is not anywhere near these guys in terms of bowling fast.

And when did Harmison bowl a 95mph delivery? I could have missed it, can you tell me exactly which match?

Akthar as lost some pace but not too much.

I watched Shaun Tait at Trent Bridge in his first spell & was very impressed to say it was his test debut,he bowled consistently faster than Brett Lee and above 90mph,I know he's not in Bretts class at the moment but definately one for the future

The difference in pace between Lee and Akhtar is negligible.

Yep, one can argue about that. Hey, what is the fastest ball Lee has ever bowled? I dont know, so you guys can enlighten me a little here.

As I stated before Bond wins hands down on good skill and control, and add to that pretty good pace, you have got yourself a lethal fast bowler. Lee and Akhtar are also lethal bowlers, they have the ability to wreck any batting line-up into two if on song. The problem is they spray the ball around a bit too much. Harmison is not as fast as these three or even Ntini.

I say Bond. He has still a we way to go yet, hes hasn't played a hell of a lot of matches but he is very consistant and tidy. He hardly ever gives away boundaries. In the India game it was quite obvious that Ganguly was really really struggling and he has over 10000 runs. As soon as he got to face Mills the first ball was smashed. He also seldom oversteps or bowls wides. His yorker is lethally accurate as is all of his bowling. Lee and Aktar are quality bowlers but at the moment I think Bond would be the most sought after.

160km/h + 0. something I can't remember. He clocked the speed in NZ the last time he went over there. What a spell of fast bowling that was.

He was clocking mid to highish 90's (94-97) regularly in the 2004 Champions Trophy Final. Flintoff has been around the 95 mark in the current Ashes series quite a few times too.

I would love to see Tait in an ODI match. That is where the speeds fly. :)

I cant tell you exactly, but are you blind Chadda, he does it quite frequently. His paces vary between 85-95.

And ive seen a lot of Akhtar this year at Worcestershire and he is know where near the same pace he was when he hit the scene. He bowls about the same as Harmisson nowadays,

Bond doesen't bowl near 160kph. Before his injury he was 154 perhaps best, I haven't seen much of him in Zimbabwe but from all accounts he has lost some pace.

But what is really good to hear about him?

He now has a full array of outswingers, inswingers, slow balls and cutters, which he has obviously worked on at the NZ academy while hes been recovering, wheras before all he had was his admittedly deadly inswinging yorker, bouncer, and a rather weak change of pace.

If he has no more problems with he could become one of our best bowlers of all time -behind the great Richard Hadlee

Shoaib Akhtar has performed better againts aussies therefore I will put him at 1st place in every department whether it is accuracy, fast, etc,

Shane boned has just started his career and to put him ahead of Shoaib Akhtar is just a shame.

Bonds stats vs Australia are better then Aktars actually.

I do agree though ,he is reletivly new on the scene compared to the other two.

My God, New Zealand batsmen would have had nightmares! How much did they manage to score?

English fans, Harmison comes after Ntini in terms of fast bowling. Also, Harmison has not bowled in the 90s consistently throughout this Ashes series. His average speed has been like 87 or 88 mph, and he is not known to wreck oppositions with his 'fast' bowling. IMO Harmison relies more on the bounce in the wicket rather than his pace.
