The RTA SpeedBlitz Blues were excellent with the bat as far as now. But, Jaques (75) was bowled neck and crop after a beauty from Dorey, followed by Smith (4) hit a short ball to deep fine leg to see Bandy pull a blinding catch. Dorey was simply outstanding with the ball. His second spell end with 2/16 from 6 overs. From here Blues kept the scoring rate below 6 an over. Clarke approach's he fifty from 51 balls. He and the partner Henriques (31) put together the partnership of 47 for the fourth wicket.

Clarke was undone with the short pitch ball, top edge's and get caught, bringing Blues to 4 for 164. Rohrer was the new man to the crease. With the return of pacemen, runs were hard to come by. Rohrer smashed two sixes from Edmondson's over. Blues, resumed at 4 for 184, but Henriques (50) came up within 58 balls with 4 fours and two huge six. Rohrer brought up three figures off Bandy with a back foot cover drive.

Either Henriques was looking to strike the ball. He'd put 67 with Rohrer. At this stage the charge continued and Rohrer looked set for the first fifty in this first Ford Ranger Cup match, but when he mis timed a pull from Johnson to be caught for 45 off 41 balls.

They were only 10 overs left, And Blues were 5 for 237. The youngster Nic Maddinson make his way to the center in his debut. Maddinson was off the mark with couple of runs.

He don't seem's to play big strokes but he was trying to just run it down to mid off or mid on. Henriques hit some big shots in the last 10 overs. Maddinson was either trying to play some big strokes, but Shaun Marsh made him pay for putting down a simple chance at short cover when he hadn't scored. Henriques's ended on 79 and with Maddinson 24 no. Blues ended the innings with 5/311.

Blues smash Warriors

Tuesday, 20th July 2010

110551.jpg

As it was a huge target for the Warriors, The Openers Shaun Marsh and Luke Ronchi walked out to the center. Marsh was off the mark with a single and then Ronchi faced the remaining 5 balls. Warriors made a great start through Marsh and Ronchi in the first five overs with none for 32. They put on fifty for the first wicket in 11 overs.

Ronchi produced a superb display after hitting one enormous six off Josh Hazlewood. However, a mistimed hook saw him dismissed for 32 off 36 including 2 fours and one enoromous six. The loss of Ronchi, Shaun Marsh followed a fine run a ball fifty and helped the momentum back to Warriors.

Marsh was particlarly severe on NSW pacemen and his 64 off 74 deliveries featured 5 boundaires and a massive straight six. The Left Handed Marcus North played the perfect role after scoring his fifty.

Blues don't find swing so the captain him self brought to bowl and finally a settled batsmen Marsh was given LBW and finally Blues have brocken the partnership.

The the rest of the middle order failed to contribut (Michael Hussey, Adam Voges) were out without troubling the scorers. And within that, they lost the momentum.

But Mitchell Marsh's (46) and David Bandy (38) off 46 deliveries contributed well. About 12 overs to spare the Blues dimissed Warrioes for 235 all out.

They was a great game in this first match of the Ford Ranger Cup.

Interview with Clark

Wednesday, 21th July 2010

clark.jpg

How would you rate the performance of the team in the last year?

Last season was difficult to rate. From the higher win in the Big Bash, we have really struggled in the Shield and Ford Ranger Cup. I think we done well in the earlier part of the competition, But at the end of the season, we have slowed down a bit and the fact is that we were just won one in every competition. A point from Playing views, we saw some youngsters who made the transition from the List A cricket to next cricekting level, which is always exciting.

You are leading from the font as the captain, Was the job coming easy or is it something you have to work hard on it?

Captaincy is led by the team, having support from very good players, coaches and special staff. It also helped having some senior players like Katich, Henriques and now either Clarke setting a great example. However, I've enjoyed the whole challenge and looking forward to doing it again.

What would you rate for your best batting and either bowling performance for Blues?

Probably the one which I've taken five wickets haul, against Queensland at the SCG and when I took 3 wickets for 17 in KFC Big Bash against Victoria. When I started first two overs I got the opening wicket for 13. But I think my last two overs at the death went for 4 runs with 2 wickets helped us get back into the game.

There is probably not much to write about the batting department. This was one game down in Tasmania when I came in, we need 37 from the last 5 overs with 1 wicket in hand. I was batting with young Rohrer and we got down to 6 runs to win from the last 3 balls. Rohrer hit a single down the ground towards mid on. then I've played and missed the first ball I've faced, then we required 5 from the last ball. Ben was the bolwer and brought Mid on and mid off in so I tried to clear the ropes and I couldn't believe that it carryed along way for a six. Luckily I had won us the game.

Who was the funniest guy in the squad you think?

They are mostly too many guys to choose for me. I think Hughes is a bit comedian in the sheds, with none bigger our captian Katich. He is probably one of the funniest men.

Match Report

Sunday, 25th July 2010

Hello! Ladies and Gentlemen. Match 1 of Sheffield Shield, Its RTA SpeedBlitz Blues vs Retravision Warriors in Sydeny. We have Brendon Julian, Greg Blewett about pitch reports.

Brendon Julian - Hey Guys, This pitch is built for pace, so spin will barely be a factor, not even on day four. It's only purpose will be to change the speed of the game and give the quicks a rest. It really looks to be a low scoring match as the bounce could trouble the batsmen.

Greg Blewett - Yeah! We had looked at the pitch early morning, and its seems to be the bowlers could enjoy bowling here. As we had see that Blues won the previous game by a huge margin. So, It may also be a huge game either for the batsmen. So What could you say about the toss?

Brendon Julian - Well, Hard Discussion for the captains. I guess bowl could be better because they may be picking some quick wickets and so on the batting on second day will be better than the previous day. So, Win the toss and pleasefully bowl first.

Greg Blewett - Umm! Interesting, Must be a better from third day for batting. Yeah and I really think that Brendon was rite. The batting could be better from second day, So we have to go forward for toss as well as the weather conditions.

-------------------------------------------------------

Now we have Brendon Julian with Shane Warne, So go a hand.

Brendon Julian - Yeah, Thanks Brendon. With the weather conditions, In the first day temperature 27?C. They is a bit rain in the second day as 13?C

Shane Warne - I Doesn't think the rain could some higher and expecting that the game goes on. And the third day its little better than the second day as the temperature increases to 20?C and fouth day its 25?C.

Blues in Control

Tuesday, 27th July 2010

Stating the day with none for 63, The Warriors got off to a decent start as openers Marsh rescued the visitors with a fifty from 67 balls. But with the score at 72, Theo Doropoulos holed out to O’Keefe at short cover off bowling of Mitchell Starc for 17.

He was followed not long after by Number.3 Marsh, who was trapped in front by the all rounder Henriques. Then the trouble begins was the visitors were 84 for 3 with the in form Hussey fell for a other duck just three balls later when he was caught over slip by Clarke from the same bowler.

Mitchell Starc was excellent with the ball as he picked up 3 wickets in the first season. Marsh was the only batsmen to score more than 20 runs. Things barely improved for the warriors when Adam Voges scored 32 with the partner Shaun Marsh and the visitors were 3-100. Voges was well supported by Marsh.

Marsh plundered 7 boundaries in his 117 balls knock before an attempted hook shot off Cameron. Voges narrowly missed out his fifty when he was trapped lbw by Bracken in 43nd over.

David Bandy was in next men in and he scored 14 off 8 balls. He and the partner Luke Pomersbach contributed 50 run stand for the 7th wicket. Luke Pomersbach scored 59 including 2 sixes while Bandy provided lusty blows of his own in his knock off 47 off 61 deliveries.

Bandy crawled to six before he gave Bracken his second wicket when he picked out Ben Rohrer. Then it come to tail-enders, Brett Dorey then made eigth runs befor he clen bolwed by the spinner O'Keefe.

Earlier in the day, The Blues took just over four overs to secure first innings points, with the final three wickets for only 9 runs.

But dont ask for it because you will be called a "loser" by some guys

Ahem ahem! It is fine to ask for comments occasionally but if you stop your story just for comments then you're a loser.
And you're not a loser, you're putting some decent effort.

Aussieteam, in the past you have been copying articles from other sites and just copying pasting them on this site. The fact is that at the moment not much readers are interested in reading your story. You were consistently warned by members about writing this story on your own but you didn't listened to them. Write this story on your own and readers will get their interest back in this story. Past few updates have been good and your writing and presentation is improving.
