Hey guys really sorry about no update tonight but i have hurt my knee at training, I ll try for a big update tomorrow (if i can get the ice pack off my knee) if not, a huge update Thursday that will take us through to the finish of the match. Then don't forget training because thats when selection based on training and performance starts. Oh and not giving to much away but it looks certain that two Derbyshire players have definitely made the English squad to tour Pakistan, so keep an eye out for anouncements and a new thread for that that will run in conjusction with the Derbyshire chronicals. Players selected for foreign tours wont be available to play for Derbyshire, because they will be in a different county :p . Selected player(s) will get a pm from me advising there selection before hand. Good luck guys stay safe and fit :D

Training at end of days play:

One lap around the field
Forward Defense and charging down to spinners.

Training:

Three laps around the pitch to warm up and stretches, major batting practice on drives and forwra dand back defensive shots, looks like a good spinning pitch so the main focus is on getting down the pitch to counteract the spin, they dont seem to have any major spinners so we should be o.k. Also work on tactics for the second innings.

I dont think i will be picked for England because my form as of late has been... well... shocking to say the least but my captaincy has been spot on so that might get me in.

You are working too much...look at me, one lap and I am ripping through lineups...;)

And I'm sure Vaughan is a better skipper to say the least :p

Derbyshire innings didnt last long as the rain came

So when the rain came, Molloy took off his helmet and wore a cap :p Our captain is very intelligent indeed! :D

TRAINING
Briggs goes to the Somerset indoor cricket center for some batting, seeing as how he may have to bat tomorrow. Then warms down by doing some short sprinting bursts and stretching before heading outside where he see's some of the Derbyshire lads pratting about! Especially Balaji who seems to have found some of the local talent outside the ground! ;)
