Looking forward to the freindly on sunday PC. Gonna be a good challanging game for me...atleast thats what i think. I will be resting Rampaul though so you dont need to be worried too much about a Remarkable bowler ripping thru your lineup:p

good luck

Same here.. Mahmood will be rested so your batsmen don't feel too humiliated. But don't worry, your bowlers will be humiliated. ;)

Borncricketers XI vs The Falcons

The Falcons visit Cricketers National Ground to face the Borncricketers XI. The Falcons have not played Borncricketers XI yet in their whole career. Expect Mahmood to be rested and Thornton given his first chance to play.

Borncricketers XI are a complex side, most of the time they will bat second and try to chase the target, but they have trouble chasing anything over 250. The Falcons on the other hand always bat first when they win the toss, and usually put up a good score. This should be a cracker!

The Falcons go to Cricketers National stadium to make their winning streak to 8. But in there way stood another strong team. Borncricketer's XI, a very tricky team to deal with were ready to play a friendly match.

As expected, Borncricketer's XI won the toss and elected to bat first. But this time, Nisar fell for 7 and Shorey had to come in. The Falcons though played well, Shahbaz and Shorey made a fantastic partnership that stood for 195 runs. Both of them got to 100's, but than a collapse came along. Masilo and Alshaun took 4 wickets each to bundle The Falcons out for 288. The Falcon's would've liked to get over 300, because of Mahmood's absence.

Thornton had the new ball in his hand and was ready to begin. A fast start for Borncricketer's XI made the Falcons a bit worried at first, but than the new boy broke through with a wicket! Burn than came in to get the settled Karthikeyan out. Some tight bowling from Inamullah and Burn led to wickets falling. The Falcons were once again superb in the field as they got 2 run-outs! Thornton and Tuckett came back to finish it off, and The Falcons won another game.

It was a tough desicion to choose the Man of the match but in the end Shorey got it for his superb batting.

Tips.jpg

Welcome to another edition of Tips for the Beautiful game! Tonight we look at the team's batsmen. In this game, you have 11 players, and you will have at least 5 batsmen. That is, if your whole team is made out of specialists. Each batsman has a different role, and when all your batsmen play as they are told, you will get a target of 300+. First off we have our openers. Opener's need to have good stamina so they can last until the end of the innings, and good concentration. The main reason the Falcons do so well in their games is because one of their openers always makes a handy total. The player which comes one down is usually a steady player who is a lot like the opener. Your 4th and 5th player needs to be attacking, one who can finish the innings off or get some runs quickly. Try to have one destructive batsman in your team at the bottom if possible. Try not to send your best batsmen in first, and balance out your team, so in case of a collapse you have back-up. We hope your batting can become stronger, stay with us as we have more batsmen ips up ahead!

Drat, I wanted to use that tip later this season. :p
Ah well, I'll use it anyways :p Nice tip either way, and it is true. Adarsh lost cause he play his two best bats as openers. What happened? Both out in the first over. Had one come in late in the innings, he could have won.

Ian Knight: Welcome to another edition of Bowled Him, where we look at The Falcons and their performances. With me once again to talk to you is Mohammad Ali. But before we go to him, we have another check on the best bowlers and the best batsmen currently in the rankings.

Stats2.jpg

Ian Knight:
You can see how the table has changed. Plenty of more names have been added. You might not see too many Falcon players as you go lower in the list that's simply because they haven't played enough innings to be including in the list. You can see that Gulzar Shahbaz has fell, but still has a stunning average. Shorey and Nisar have made their way up to 2nd and 3rd respectively. Now it's over to Mohammad Ali, who has a something special to show us.

Mohammad Ali: Thank you Ian, and yes this is something special. A lot of comments came on how good the opening partnership is for the Falcons. Well, these stats are not lying. These two have put together 1570 runs together so far! That is far more than any other team. So on the average these two make 98 runs together in every game! We hope you enjoyed that, and we'll be seeing you next week for another surprising fact!

Work fine for me. You got some machine run scorers in there PC. That Kempson guy from Ali tigers is going well.

lol they are showing up now:) not bad ur team is doing well
how come u have soo many poeple in the league averages?, is it cause of membership?

You've got membership, haven't you! :p
Lucky dawg...

No, I don't. To see those stats all you have to do is go to:

Club->Pavilion->Click on your OD League->Averages

I think as more players get legible, they all get added.
