Story The Origin Of Test Cricket:IvoBligh's XI in Australia;1882-83;3rd Test; Two innings in one day!!!

Some real big partnership needed to get atleast a better total. And let that bowler,Spofforth sleep and take rest after lunch which will allow the current batsmen to settle down :D Keep up the good works..

Boyle strikes immediately after lunch.Mckinnon hooks the balls straight into the hands of Greogry who is more than delighted!England 6 down for 70.They need a partnership.:help

England 7 down for 76!!
Emmett is the next man to go, trapped leg before by Boyle.
Admist the ruins, Absolom joins Royle and from the go, they take the attack to the Aussies. They add 62 runs before Spofforth leaves his mark again. This times he hangs on the mishit from Absolom off Allen. The eight wicket goes down on 138.The partnership has given some repectibility to the score.

England in deep deep trouble. Now they need to depend on their bowlers like how their opponents did till now. Otherwise, they will be in trouble. Lets see what happens

Hello everyone,I am back (again). In case anyone wondered about the story, I had some personal problems.Thank God my life is on track again and I am going back to the story.

L.Hone doesn't trouble the scorers and gives a simple catch to Mid-off.Gregory strikes

England 9 down for 142

Schultz lasts only 2 balls before caught by Murdoch off Gregory

England all out for 142!!

Royle topscores and remains not out with 43.

Spofforth does the initial damage and England never really get going.

Bannerman and Murdoch open the innings for Australia.Emmett and Schultz share the new ball. The bowling is fast ,furious and sometimes short.Murdoch scores 8 before he ducks in to a short ball and is caught at short leg.

Australia 1 for 9!!

Horan is the next man back in pavilion for just 1.

I think, my prediction is starting to go right :D Lets see.. England has a long way to go though! And it already seems that, bowlers are having a fantastic time on this pitch.

Keep up the good works:cool:

Okay...this is the 100th post.....My net is working again.I was having problems uploading for the story.Everything is allright now..back to the story....

Aussies are short out for only 144!!!

F.E.Allen scores maiden fifty and give some back to the Australian total

Schultz and Lucas claim 4 each.Ulyett and Emmett are tidy as always.

England have a flying start. They race to 52 off 16 over at lunch on day2

lucas is the only wicket to fall caught by Murdoch off Spofforth for a well made 49 off 115 balls.

Wow, this is turning out to be a low scoring thriller i suppose. England in control at the moment.. but who knows.. lets see :spy

Ulyett reaches his fifty off 121 balls. It is the slowest fifty by far in test cricket. But on a tricky pitch like this, batsmen need to apply themselves and englisgmen are doing just that, so far.

England end the day in a strong position at 154 for 1 after 68 overs.Ulyett and Lucas have added 65 runs so far.:cheers

Day Three:
Australia take the new ball as soon as it is available. So, far this has been a great brickwalling by England.Lets see if the new ball changes Aussie luck.On the down part, maybe, england get to score more freely.
