Ulyett Becomes The first Centurion!!

George Ulyett becomes the first centurion in Test Cricket.It has been a long and grinding innings.It has taken him 232 balls.Unfortunately, no time keeping, so we don?t know how long it took him.But being the first ever century, we can safely assume?by the amount of balls, no one was batted for so many balls.

Hornby is the next wicket to fall. Caught by Horan off Garrett




Its a sharp reflex catch at Silly Point.Horan can't get out of the way but does well to hold onto the catch.He does leave the field to get some ice.

By the lunch time, England have moved steadily to 270 for 3 off 94 overs. Overall lead has extended to 268.



With score at 299, Ulyett reaches his 150.It has taken him 282 balls and has 22 fours and a six.



Royle is caught by Kelly off Garrett.He scores a quickfire 20 off 10 balls.He tries to give some momentum to the innings by striking 3 fours but holes out, going for a big one.

England seems to get their complete control over the game now. Have to see how far they continue this.

F.A.Mckinnon scores only 7 but England march onto 390 for the loss of six wicket, off 120 overs by Tea-Time.Ulyett is not out at 194.He is pretty nervous going into tea.



A couple of fours afterTea and Ulyett moves to 202.This is the first double hundred in Test Cricket. Since, this is a Timeless Test, Ulyett is under no pressure to up the tempo.



His Wagon-Wheel:



Emmett adds 58 runs for the 7th wicket before he is snapped by Garrett in slips off Boyle.he scores 26 off 60 balls and compounds Australia?s misery.

Great knock by Ulyett. His wagon wheel is everywhere, sign of a good batsman. Hopefully, England the English bowlers can skittle through the Aussie batsmen.

England's innings finally end at 456, a far cry from their first innings when they folded up real easy.The question is can Australia imitate them and secure an impossible win.

Austalia were set a target of 454.Apart from a first wicket partnership of 126,nothing much of a resistance.

Lol, England bowlers dominated there. I expected some close fight though. Taking that first Wkt partnership out, 10 wickets for around 100 runs.. Terrific bowling. Oh well, good win in the end.

England, with amateurs to the fore, won the game with WG Grace - one of three brothers in the XI - making 152. The Demon Spofforth took 391 wickets on tour at an average of 5.63 but, crucially, missed the Test with an injured finger.

Thanks for the suggestion, but this is an ongoing story.I guess the title says it all! It starts from the begining and lets see how far it goes.
