The RNG Draft: The Modern Era!

Did everyone get a good pick this round except me :crylaugh:

Yuzvendra Chahal
Junaid Khan
Chris Morris
Haris Rauf
Jacques Kallis
Johan Botha
Riley Meredith
Glenn Maxwell

I then spent the rest of the day working on other things, lol. I'll get the first three picks out now, and the other four that are in out later.

Ahmed's Pool

Ahmed selected GoldenFM knockoff Zak Crawley (which was really good of him because I only just remembered Graeme Cremer was already taken), which does mean I'll need some clarification on the batting order @ahmedleo414

The obvious pick here was Zimbabwe's best quick since Heath Streak, Blessing Muzarabani.

Parth's Pool

Having already taken three bowlers and a keeper, Parth received a pool where they were the only realistic selections. He ended up taking Matt Wade to avoid a massive tail. That said, I wouldn't describe Pommie Mbangwa as a 'great bowler'...

Probably the youngest player to be taken during this draft will be Finn Allen, who reminds me of Chris Lynn in his output.

Disharies' Pool

Disharies also picked an opener. Shane Watson was never a superstar, but he always got a job done in an insane Aussie team, and should do the same here - likely his presence means that Omari Banks can be carried.

Till Valhalla's Pool

TV added to his middle order with Saman Jayantha (who this may or may not be). Given he likely needs five more non-specialist-bowlers, it isn't the worst start.

Mohsin's Pool

Mohsin lost the lottery in getting the first ever repeat pool (while a pool featuring the selected Graeme Cremer did appear earlier in this round, debuts between the two instances of his eligibility mean that they are different selections). He too passed on Vinod Kambli, selecting economical offspinner Jimmy Kamande to feature in his team.

From Cricinfo
Saman Jayantha is a late developer, an aggressive opening batsman

With Mitch Marsh and Paul Collingwood already in my XI, I think I have the freedom to add Tim David as a finisher and possibly sixth/seventh bowler. Credit to the Singapore Times for producing the best picture in the entire draft.
