Errm, because when i log on to the forums and see ten threads about how amazing Sachin is, it get's annoying, maybe not for you, but for some people it does.

A simple search of Sachin Tendulkar in the search bar reveals how many pointless threads have been made about him. I agree that he is a remarkable player, but he's not god.

He topped rank.1 after 8years, that is an ACHIEVEMENT but should have been posted in the particular tour thread

What is God and who is God actually? Why care about the people who think like that? Some can never understand and in India there is a passion for the game and for him, a bit too much maybe.

Because repeatedly posting the same things about him is incredibly annoying.

but its only temporary.

the ashes will not affect the indian members in ANY which way.

so, after the ashes gets over, your gonna start bitching about the posting quality again.

I am a whitey western guy but I agree with the SC guys to a point.

I don't like the idea of segregation, one of the nice things about the internet is the fact that I can talk about sri lanka with sri lankans, pakistan with pakistanis. So I don't really want SC members to feel they need to have their own place.

I do think though that the issue of racism is not taken seriously enough, we're now in a society in the west were we like to think "oh no one is racist now, thank god all that's over." but this is just not true. I've got a bit mental about this in the past. I actually have a warning because I called someone a piece of crap for spouting stuff like "we need to protect white culture." This raised few eyebrows and I have to admit I considered leaving, I've never encountered such a blas? attitude to this sort of thing.

There's too much "if I was indian that would be racist" as well, or claiming reverse racism or whatever you call it. irrotev was at that because someone said he ate fish and chips :sarcasm . People don't seem to get the historical context that's involved in racism. it's not just to do with skin colour jokes.

anyway... it could go both ways. No more sachin threads, but mods take a rather more serious and vigilant approach to racism.

Include warnings for stirring up race differences by going "oh that's reverse racism"

If this board becomes segregated it's pretty much an appalling inditement against us all as people.

and why are you getting so hopped up, you do realize the type of Asian member everyone is complaining about is a world apart from you right? It's not as if we don't want Indians on the forum, this place would suck without the likes of you, shravi, kshitiz, aditya123, user and I could go on for ages.

See guys, I am an Indian, I agree I used to post some no meaning post and had used to troll around before. I used to hate Mark ,Highlander999,Treva etc to the core but I then soon realized that it's just not hating them, it's being egoistic and thinking that my culture is the best. I was wrong.

I am changing my self fullest and trying to accept the culture fullest.

Problem this Forum is having is that there are some People (Sub Continent + Non Sub Continent) who are not ready to accept the culture.

Mark has been the best poster as well as the best Member I feel.

But people like Ollie who are only making some of the Sub Continent people angry.The KBC thread is the biggest example. It does not relate to him so there was no need for that stupid post.

I love this forum and I do not want this difference.

One Simple advice for both

Sub Continent - Please try and accept the culture of others, do not just think I AM THE BEST and rest are worst. Also there is always a spell checker that can be installed please use that.(I too use it) When we know we our not that good, we can always try.

Non Sub Continent - This specially goes to few people really do not want to name them, please try and understand We as Indians or others are weak in English that does not mean we should be criticized every moment. If you do not like our discussion please do not involve your self. If you feel something is wrong please feel free to report it.(I do that often)

Ermmm Just 1, that too when he topped the ranking after 8 years. That is not posting same thing again and again. You are getting so worked up over sachin issue, there were some members read(king_pietersen) who compared K.P to Bradman and some desperate aussie who deemed Hughes to be next Bradman even before his Test debut.

i know what you mean. all i said was, even if all the former members return, the "children" will always be there. so, its just a matter of time before they get frustrated and leave the forums again.

i think the root cause of all this is the C07 forums. you can clearly make out my feelings about that forum from the pic i posted. :doh

thats the capital i guess. you conquer that and practically win the war.
