WASIM AKRAM"KING OF SWING" DESERVES TOP TEN SLOTS:rolleyes:

Sorry the guy who made this thread doesn't want "all-rounders" in the lists. In my books he is easily in the top 10.

welcome Howsie!

Sorry the guy who made this thread doesn't want "all-rounders" in the lists. In my books he is easily in the top 10.

Wasim is a Specialist Bowler and not a genuine All-rounder.

He is #3 on my list and almost everyone have included them.

Obviously you are not a good Observer othewise you would not have made this needless comment.

Go back to all the posts and double check before making sweeping comments (No offense inteneded. I am saying this in the context of your comments).

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

Who said so King Cricket?

Avoid all caps. It's against the rules.

When did you get promoted to a Moderator?

Sorry. I am unable to fulfill your wish as you are not a moderator. You are just a reader like myself.

BTW I do things as I deem appropriate within Forum Rules

I have an Engg and a Computer programming Degree. As an educated and well bred person I have the minimum common sense of understanding Forum Codes and Ethics and conforming to it.

I am/will not be dictated by anyone. Let there be no doubts about that.

I will appreciate moving forward let's not bother each other. Hopefully you will honor this.

From my end I will stick by it.

No hard feelings.

Cheers!

Woha! Calm down, mate! I just advised him as a friend. A lot of people here do it. Why are you so angry I don't understand. I didn't dictate anybody. It's just an advise, he's new here and might not know this rule. And I didn't mean you, you are at least 15 years elder than me and much more educated, why should I dictate you? It's just a mere advice, as a friend, and besides, where is the question of "Robin" coming? I advised the new guy, not you. Cheer up, mate. I didn't mean anything, I just tried to help the new guy. If you got offended then I apologize.

BTW I appreciate your inputs in my Threads and Quizzes and also your insights and sharpness typical of a Bengalee.

Cheers!

^Akram was not an allrounder. He was a genuine bowler who could bat a little bit. I know he has got highest score of 257 but that was against zimbabway on dead wicket at sheikhupura stadium. Even Jason Gillespie has a double hundred. That does not make him an allrounder. Wasim was just a useful lower order hitter and we cant call him a genuine all rounder
but what do u say about his 4 centuries in test?

^I don't exactly remember his average but it was below 25 I think. A person with that low an average cant be termed as a batsman and hence not a genuine allrounder. He was a very useful lower order batsman and if he had devoted some attention to his batting, he may have turned to be an Allrounder.

Akram was not a genuine allrounder but his batting abilities were lightyears better than that of Gileespie. He has 3 or 4 hundreds one which is against Australia as well! For me he was a bowller who was a useful lower order hitter.

Relive: Dennis Lillee's 8-29 against Rest of the World XI

Dennis Lille in his career of 70 tests in which he took 355 wickets has many amazing feats under his belt.

But the one that will long be remembered is his sensational spell of 8-29against Rest of the World XI in which he cleaned up a strong batting line up of Rest of the World XI as a consequence of which they were demolished for paltry 59 runs in the first innings.

Australia eventually won this unofficial test by an innings and 11 runs.

This is what happened in Rest of the World XI?s First innings in course of second (unofficial) Test played at the W.A.C.A. Ground, Perth on Dec (10-12) 1971

World XI First innings

Sunil Gavaskar Caught Marsh bowled Lillee 0

Farookh Engineer C & bowled Lillee 13

Clive Lloyd Caught Marsh bowled Lillee 14

AW Greig Caught Stackpole bowled Lillee 5

Sir Gary Sobers Caught Marsh bowled Lillee 0

RA Hutton Caught McKenzie bowled Lillee 0

Intikhab Alam Caught Sheahan bowled Lillee 1

RS Cunis Caught Stackpole bowled Lillee 0

Sobers along with the Great Lillee speaks on this occasion.

In this diabolical spell Lillee cleaned up the rest of The world in their first innings claiming 8 wickets for 29 runs from mere 7. 1 overs of which 3 were maidens.

This is cricket at hits magical best.
