You've got a point there wrt Arsenal. Madrid's youth system is actually very good but very few of the players make it to the senior side but get sold to other Spanish clubs and like Soldado and Ruden de la Red have shown, end up wearing the national team shirt as well.

It's a myth that Arsenal don't contribute to the national team. Ashley Cole, David Bentley, Theo Walcott have all played for England because of the exposure Arsenal gave them. Just because we don't keep them doesn't mean we are harming English football. By selling them to other clubs, we're giving them more game time, thus helping their development.

We've also got players like Randall and Gibbs coming through the rank and they will be loaned ut in the future.
