Top 10 of the last 10 years

I still dont get what Inzamam has done in the ten years to put him a top ten. Rank failure against the best teams in the last decade.

We all are forgetting Rahul Dravid.

Dravid doesn't deserve a spot in the past 10 years because he was only amazing until 2007. After that, he's been really, really disappointing. If we were counting 1995-2005, he'd be in my list easily.

And what Inzamam did after 2007 ?:facepalm

Cool down son.

India have won 39% of the tests in which Tendulkar & 31% in which Sehwag has scored tons.

Pakistan have won 68% of the tests in which Inzamam has scored tons.
Just can't take same reason over and over again :facepalm

Sachin averages 67.57 in Tests India Won. Cricket is NOT about only tons. Doing the vice versa of what you said why the hell we should blame Sachin when his team lets him down when he scores 100. You know it well, All know it well so please leave to judge crickets by tons he scored. Sachin or any other player is not rated by how many tons he scored in winning matches. If we go by your logic, Laxman would be never consider as great because he hasn't scored many tons in matches which India won. Anyways I will leave it, I will not point out some obvious reasons. I don't think I need to prove it to any one here.

BTW My post has nothing to do with this thread or which one is better. Just couldn't take that reason again and again.

Inzy retired in 2007, so I'm guessing he sat on a couch and gained even more weight after that. If Dravid had retired in 2007 from all forms of the game, he'd be on my list. But instead, he persisted and his form was horrible after, which is worse than retiring.

And what Inzamam did against OZ and SA in 2000-07.So he failed against 2 best teams of last decade. And yet he finds the place in top 10. Amazing.:lol

Pakistan have won 68% of the tests in which Inzamam has scored tons.

Remember Pakistan never have had as good a batting lineup which India & Australia had during Inzamam's career. That is the reason he's rated so highly by both former cricketers & fans. His runs almost always benefitted the team & would always play for the team, not for personal achievments.

So,try to understand & respect other's opinions.Inzamam doesn't even make my alltime top 20 batsmen whereas Tendulkar does but I understand that those praise Inzamam & rate him highly have solid reasons to do so.

great post. Indian fans in general need to show more respect.

forgotten inzys match saving century at multan?? his performances in england?

As I said I started this list from 2001 onwards so here are Inzys stats against Test nations:

An average of 50.81 in 2001 IN NZ
An average of 57.84 in 2001 IN ENG
An average of 116 in Asian test championship, featuring SL and BAN
An average of 329 at home against NZ
An average of over 50 against zimbabwe at home back when they were a force
An average of 30, which isnt good against SA
but 75 and 41 against BAN and SA respectively
then 41, 78, 43 and 50 against SA, NZ, IND and SL respectively
out of sorts against AUS but he recovered to smash the Indians in India
then 107 against ENG in Pakistan
then he went into a steady Test decline as his career slowly ended.

ODIs:
averages 78 against ENG AND AUS in ENG in tri series
and 86 is UAE against SL and NZ
averages 57 against the aussies in australia
averages 60 in tri series featuring SA
averages 85 in SA
averages 97 against IND
averages 84 natwest series with eng and australia
averages 50 in ICC champs trophy
averages 91 in VB series in aus
averages 111 in eng

so he doesnt play well against the top nations....you were right :facepalm

Absolutely. And Sehwag is a better odi batsman than Sachin because 87% of his century have come in winning cause.

Batting records | Test matches | Cricinfo Statsguru | ESPN Cricinfo

And major lol at mentioning NZ and Bangladesh in top team. :lol

Both Sehwag and Dravid are greater than Inzamam last decade by miles.

A mad hitter who averages more than Inzamam at 60% more SR.

I llve how he average against australia was 'missing' from that rant. Also love how an average of 50 against Zimbabwe is considered a GREAT performance. Home track bully, minnow bully, thats Inzi in the 2000's.

if you could read you would see averages against india are not missing. and have u guys seen the averages against aus and SA?? and as i said in my post, it will show inzys average against all top 10 test nations. damn do i need to buy u guys nursery books to teach u how to read english?? plus who ever said only scoring big against AUS or SA is a measuring stick for success? in fact I think the English team of the last 10 years has been on par with SA anyway. so stop trying to push ur opinions on other people without properly reading their posts, u might just end up looking like fools. :facepalm
