i saw the interview with clarkson on this morning and he was saying how great hamilton is so i think he will prob get fastest lap

It'll be interesting if he does. The Stig is allegedly a former F1 driver and he drives that track day in and day out. Yes Hamilton is fitter but fitness won't really come into it over such a short run. It's technique.

Hamster also gets his mits on a Renault F1 car.

Success in Formula One is more to do with the quality of the car than the skill of the driver these days. Lewis Hamilton is not the most skilled driver in the world, he will have to record his time on an unfimiliar track with an unfimiliar, weak car.

Hamilton might get the quickest lap record out of the celebrities, but I doubt he will beat The Stig.

F1 drivers dont go on the lapboard, they have there own little board.

:D

He has a racers brain, he'll take lines that only the Stig and the other F1 drivers would have. I love how he does something for a bit of fun and people take it seriously.

The car can be the best in the world, but it doesn't run on auto-pilot.

Driving the Top Gear test track IS serious, forget the F1 World Championship this is the one that matters. Hamilton will lean forward as Clarkson reads the time out, just wait and see.

Hence why Hamilton beat his double world champion team mate this year and only lost the title because of a gearbox glitch. And skill? Fuji, I say no more.

Will Dave ever show a different Top Gear to the usual 6 or 7 they seem to show?

No, I was watching one just now, until I realised I only saw it the other day!

Edit:

Another flaw!

I've watched 2 episodes on Dave today, Clarkson reviewed 2 different lambo's and he said basically the same things and did the same jokes for each one, I'd have never noticed if they weren't on the same day!

Hammond is gonna get pwned by the Renault F1.

HOLY FECK! 1:44.7 for Hamilton in a wet lap. That's .3 off of Stig's time in the dry!

Hamilton is awesome. Awesome.

Never mind all that crap what about Clarksons impression of an Aussie!! :p The BM's brilliant, they got the idea off the simpsons. Probably.

That BMW was epic. Did Jezza mention a price?

:D It's a prototype Culli, that kind of car won't be on the roads for a very long time, if ever, because it'd have to be linked with all other cars on the roads.

Good episode, I liked the Hammond one with the open-wheelers.

Oh sorry Sureshot. I went for a drink just as that clip was on and thought it was actually being sold. :)

Why would you want to buy one of them ? just takes away the whole joy of driving, i wouldnt buy a car if i was just going to be driven around by it, if i wanted that i'd use taxis instead, much cheaper.

As for last nights episode, James Blunt was pretty funny actually, i love how he took the mick out of his own stuff, seems a pretty funny, down to earth chap. Lewis Hamilton was pretty funny aswell, his line to Clarkson, when he was going on about how hamilton would prefer a crap driver as a team-mate and he said "fancy a go ?" Lolz. Lewis actually seems like a really nice lad, doesnt really seem like the fame has gone to his head, looks like he'd be a good laugh. His lap was fantastic aswell, to be only 0.3 seconds behind The Stig on a wet and oily track was brilliant, shows that he is infact a brilliant driver. That was a great episode of Top Gear actually.
