Tournment Ends

LOL @ the double standards. Badrinath, Pujara etc hit big double hundreds and key innings' day in and day out, Nohit gets a big innings for once on a flat track and is back into international recognition?

Stupid.

You first see where is Rohit from, then you will not be suprised of his selection.

Right!
Badri should be included.
He deserves to be in there and can be a brilliant middle-order batsman for India.

Exactly.

I wish they would do this with other Mumbai players though, like Nayar. He deserves a spot ahead of the likes of Yusuf and before this game Jadeja (I still have my doubts).

Jadeja to me is in the team as a specialist fielder who can bowl a bit. He bats far too low down the order for his style and there's not much room in the top order to fit him in. I still have doubts over his bowling, although it was effective in the last game. We have enough part time spin bowlers in Sehwag, Sachin, and Yuvraj, and an extra medium pace option will offer more balance to the team and more versatility to the bowling attack.

I'm just not sure if he has the maturity to play 'that innings' that is required in a situation like 80/5. I think he has the potential to do so no doubt, but when push comes to shove I don't think he has groomed his batting enough to perform to his best potential. I'm almost positive he can't produce amazingly quick 30s and 40s either that is required of a number 7 coming to the crease in the 45th over.

I think Jadeja is too bits and pieces at this point. He needs more time in domestic cricket. I'm going to look like a tool for saying this after a MOM performance, but I think he would emerge a much, much better player if he spent some time in the Indian domestic scene and maybe some England county stints.
I still believe Nayar is the better option.

Haha, 'Nohit'. I like it. :laugh

So no Yuvi, no Dhoni. I'm guessing our middle order will consist of Gambhir, Raina, Kohli, Nohit an Karthik. Looks pretty feeble barring Gambhir if you ask me.

Kohli oozes talent, but arrogance as well. It's what is going to stop him from becoming a great player.

I say we get Badrigod in.

He scored an unbeaten 11 ball 30 with 2 sixes and a 4 coming in at the 44th over in this series. In the very next match he scored a 6 ball 12 with 2 boundaries coming in at the 47th over. Both are very short innings but I think he's been working on his hitting abilities.

Yes, bring Kohli in for Yuvraj and keep Rohit Sharma on the sidelines. But its double standards. Badrinath scored that 250 odd when his team was some 50 odd for 4. Certain players enjoy all these previleges if they are in the good books of certain people.

I hear Yuvraj might be in doubt for the Bangladesh tour. Very clever of Yuvraj to sneak out some rest and also his image wont take a beating because he played inspite of injury and so people will think that he put his country ahead of injury since Dhoni was absent and India needed to cover up the loss of such experience.

that guy Badrinath...he ought to get a game some time soon! He's been performing so well!

If Rohit is going to be selected because of his 300, what about Pujara...who's got made it his habit?

Well, if they are looking for batsman to replace Yuvi's style of batting, is there anyone?

My vote is for Badri. Kohli isnt a bad option too

Both are no match to Yuvi but all have there own styles

@ Kholi : The best of the players when it comes to T20

@ Badri : Best of the players when it comes to 50 over cricket

Best for teams like India A.
Indian team has immense talent and they both are far too small to be compared with the likes of Sehwag, Sachin, Gambhir and Yuvraj.
