Tri Nations (Rugby League)

Well first test Inglis centre, Tate wing. I just want to see how good Lyon is cause it's been far too long since I last saw him.

I'm surprised Steve Price didn't make the Kangaroos, he's been in great form for the Warriors this year. McClennan names the Kiwis squad tomorrow, that should be interesting.

Lyon is only the second player to be selected from outside the Australian leagues since 1988. Quite an achievement. And also a boost for the British game in a way. He's playing for St Helens in the Super League grand final on the day of the first match, which is why he's missing it. He's been playing great the last couple of years, and was the Man of Steel (player of the year) in Super League 2005.

Smith is also going to be missing the First test against NZ.
SO i think that berrigan will be going to hooker.

Good work from the Broncos they have dominated the Aussie squad :D:D:D

GO BRONCOS.
And GO AUSTRALIA

Jamie Lyon was one of the best centres in the NRL until he packed his bags and left Parramatta.

Brett Lee I don't know how you could pick an Aussie side and put Nathan Hindmarsh on the bench. He is the best defensive player in the game and can play a full 80 minutes. I do agree with Hornby being on the bench, a very versatile player and could cover any position in the backline.

Hornby on the bench is fine as long as hes the only back in it. That was kinda of the problem with Brett Lee original team as Smith is wasted as a reserve. Berrigan obviously will get hooker if Smith is out cause hes all we got.

Agreed don't know what they were thinking. Definitely should have been in the squad at least.

When you put it that way. i would move Mason to the front row, Hindmarsh to second row then put Thiaday on the bench :p

Could always have Thaiday over Ryan. Mason in the front row looks to be the way the selectors are going so him along with Thaiday should mean some big metres made.
Kite I would put on the bench as his footwork is top notch for a prop plus he can hit up the hard yards.

Interesting team named, only surprise was Hunt at fullback and no Thaiday. Other than that good side.

Karmichael Hunt, Matt King, Mark Gasnier, Justin Hodges, Greg Inglis, Darren Lockyer (captain), Johnathan Thurston, Willie Mason, Cameron Smith, Petero Civoniceva, Luke O'Donnell, Nathan Hindmarsh, Reni Maitua. Interchange: Mark O'Meley, Shaun Berrigan, Andrew Ryan, Brent Kite.

GB for the tri nations!! Paul Wellens is by far the best full back in the world and i am throughally disapointed by the fact that world class winger Ade Gardner has not been included. Drop Sean Long and bring in Briers. Bibey for Britain!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isrite

I would of put Thaiday in ahead of Kite. I don't really rate Kite as good enough to be picked for Australia. I really doubt that Great Britain will win the Tri-nations. They can't win it at home, I doubt they are going to do better playing in New Zealand and Australia.

Kite had a good final series (I didn't see his round robin games) he had good footwork along with some good hitups. I would have had Thaiday over Ryan.

What a magical game! NZ dominated throughout the match and up 15-8 at one stage then in the final 10 mins, a magical break on the wing but Inglis and the icing from Gasnier and they win 20-15!

But NZ really did deserve to win that one.

Didn't look good, I knew we could win it but can't believe the Kiwi's gifted us a penalty straight from the kick off. Inglis wow what magic, that 2nd try was top notch. Bad luck to the Kiwis they deserved the win but blew it.

yep it was a great finish. Wow it shows how these new and young players can prove themselves at a test level. Inglis is just great with pace and everything. It should be a great game between nz and england. and even aus vs england will be great
