AC Milan 0-1 Celtic (Agg 0-2)
Six time European champions AC Milan were dumped out of this season's competition after losing 1-0 on the night and 2-0 on aggregate to Scottish champions Celtic. The goal was scored by Thomas Gravesen.

Portuguese champions and 2004 UEFA Champions League winners face an uphill task to overturn the 3-0 defeat in the first leg. They come to Stamford Bridge needing to score atleast three goals to have any chance of qualifying to the next round.

Chelsea are playing a defensive looking lineup although they do start with two strikers upfront as Shevchenko partners the inform Didier Drogba. Njitap Geremi occupies the right back position tonight and Essien and SWP are playing on either end of a four man midfield.

Porto have three strikers upfront in Argentinian Lisandro Lopez and Portuguese duo of Helder Postiga and Ricardo Quaresma. Jorginho and Joao Paulo start in midfield and defence respectively in place of Assancao and Pepe.

MATCH EVENTS:

6th minute:
An early free kick for Chelsea after Essien is brought down by Ibson. Lampard's shot hits the crossbar and goes out.

11th minute:
Ashley Cole is sent off in just the eleventh minute of play following his two legged tackle on Luiz Anderson.

15th minute:
Drogba does brilliantly to trick the defenders but his final shot is poor.

21st minute:
Essien has a shot on goal from a narrow angle which is blocked away by Helton. And before any of the other Chelsea players to get to the rebound the ball is cleared by the Porto captain Pedro Emanuel.

28th minute: GOAL - Didier Drogba (Chelsea 1-0 Porto Agg:4-0)
Essien and Drogba are once again involved and this time Drogba gets to the ball before Pedro Emanuel to bury it into the Porto goal.

32nd minute: GOAL - Didier Drogba (Chelsea 2-0 Porto Agg:5-0)
Pedro Emanuel is outmuscled in fair fashion by Didier Drogba for the ball and the Ivory Coast striker finishes off in fine style to give Chelsea a two goal lead in the game.

36th minute:
Just over half an hour into this game and we have our second red card. If you thought Ashley Cole's tackle was lousy then you'll have no mercy for Ibson who has already been warned by the referee before this.

38th minute:
Porto's first good chance comes from Helder Postiga but Cech does very well to punch the ball out for a corner.

45th minute: GOAL - Luiz Anderson (Chelsea 2-1 Porto Agg 5-1)
Even though this tie might already be over Porto have got a chance in this second leg game thanks to Luiz Anderson's header just before half time that cuts Chelsea lead to just one goal.

HALF TIME: Chelsea lead the game by 2 goals to one and five one on aggregate. Porto need to score four more goals atleast to qualify now.

47th minute:
Excellent pass by Lucho Gonzalez to find Lopez but unfortunately the striker is ruled offside.

55th minute:
Andriy Shevchenko has a brilliant oppurtunity to restore Chelsea's two goal led but a fine save by Helton prevents him from doing so. Emanuel then ensures no one scores off the rebound.

61st minute: GOAL - Frank Lampard (Chelsea 3-1 Porto Agg:6-1)
Another trademark Lampard shot sees that two goal lead restored and the game sealed. Chelsea now lead 6-1 on aggregate.

FULL TIME: Chelsea romp through to the quarterfinals with a 6-1 aggregate win over Porto.

When I was playing for Marseille in 2004 we were knocked out of the Champions League by Porto so it feels good to have done the same to them this time around.

Lyon 3-1 Roma (Agg 3-3) Roma win on away goals
In a match dominated by Lyon, a second half goal from Francesco Totti proved be the decisive factor as Roma qualified on the away goal rule. Earlier Lyon had taken a three goal lead with Govou scoring two and Tiago one.

Liverpool 2-1 Barcelona AET (Agg 3-2)
Craig Bellamy's winner in extra time handed Liverpool a place in the last eight of the competition at the expense of defending champions Barcelona. Earlier in normal time Luis Garcia and Deco scored for their respective teams.

Valencia 4-1 Inter Milan (Agg 4-1)
Goals from Villa, Silva, Morientes and Angulo saw Valencia thrash Italian champions Inter Milan at the Mestalla. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the only goal for the visitors.
