Under 19 World Cup

So, what is the second division for? Gibraltor finished top of that. And yes, sorry mis-understood on the Scotland thing, they went on tour to Scotland last summer ;)

Pakistan won with three wickets against Australia in a warm-up match. :)

England won with 28 runs against India.

The second division is just a second division championship. The top 4 associates are so far ahead, there hasn't been any need to integrate the qualifying process. They did in 2003, but the other associates were hammered in their group games.

There may be a change next year, with ICC rules changing to allow affiliate members to take part in the World Cup, and the increase in European membership of the ICC, we may see a more substantial qualifying tournament, with all European nations getting a chance to qualify.

That would be much better. As shown, Gibraltar won that division without dropping a point. I havent seen any scorecards from those games. If you knew somewhere that had them I would love to see them.

Has Bangla played any yet? They are actually going into this as hot favourites.

Warm-up match:

USA 143 (49.5 overs)
Bangladesh 146 (17.2 overs)

Talk about a hammering. :clap

Am i the only one to notice 3 links that haven't hyperlinked in here?

bugger! aussies lost! :(

Henriques did alright...capt. playing a lone hand

that kid will be a star!

Our top team maybe stuggling for all rounders but our under 19 seems to have tons of them. This Aaron Finch guy might be alright. 3 wickets and bats 4. Henquries batted way too low and didn't even bowl. But our total was pretty dam disappointing, I can't see aus winning this WC.

Dam our under 19 side sucks. Without Henquries we would be dead. They can't bat and their bowling isn't too flash either. He picked up one wicket and scored 44 which was top score.

Summary from cricinfo
India, who had been rattled by their loss to England yesterday, returned to winning ways with a six- wicket win over Australia

New Zealand joined Australia with two defeats in two after they were thrashed by 130 runs by West Indies

The match of the day was at Thurston College where Bangladesh just held off a gallant charge from Zimbabwe to record a three-run win.

England made it two wins in two with a 16-run victory over South Africa.

Nepal inflicted a second defeat in two matches on Scotland as they won by six wickets.

Namibia secured a hard-fought three-wicket win over a USA

West Indies are among the favourites? Pakistan U-19 beat them 3-1 in the recent series. Zimbabwe surprised me. They narrowly lost against Bangladesh.

Don't write off the English, they beat the favourites :)
Aus would be among the teams for the wooden spoon!
Zimbabwe has a much better u19 side than top side now if only they could get their general stuff sorted.

Ouch, we are getting thrashed. Our batsmen can't make any runs.
