Garner, Holding, Marshall, Ambrose, Walsh and Roberts are the best ever fast bowlers to play cricket for Windies. for Australia it would be McGrath, Lillee, Thomson, McDermott, Gillespie and Keith Miller.

Spofforth, Davidson, Trumble, Lindwall would all get in before Thomson, McDermott and Gillespie

As far as spinners are concerned Windies have produced only one truly great spinner....Lance Gibbs (Sobers was a decent spinner too)..

Yeah well Sobers could bowl just about everything. In their prime as most people say which was roughly between 70-90, weakening and strenghtening at different points in that period, they didn't need a spin attack. They just used part time spinners, and even then it was uneccessary because when a few seamers are tired, bring on the next pair.

but now a days even a Carl Hooper type of spinner will be very handy for Windies..
