Jokes apart, a local daily here had stated that after the marriage on Sunday he will join the team in the afternoon....wasnt clear which afternoon Sunday afternoon or Monday afternoon

What is the consensus on Ashwin around here? Took 9 wickets on his debut game. He has done well in the shorter formats of the game and it seemed like there were a few doubts over his ability in tests.

He seems to have done very well so far.

Praveen - OK (even though he wont be as effective in non swinging conditions), but RP AND SREE????? Both blow more cold than hot, highly erratic, are highly useless when the conditions don't favor them (because they are so wayward and have so little control). Time has come to try out other bowlers and see if they show better control with more pace.

They used to say same thing about James Anderson, that he won't be effective in non swinging conditions in Australia but he did well. Praveen has already played in CB Series 2007 and has taken 10 wickets. Praveen is an automatic choice.

idk what selectors are doing with RP Singh? They called him up for England series when he was on vacation. He came to the team, did alright. Just when it looked like he was getting back his rhythm, they threw him out. So I feel one of Sree and RP should be in the team, as they both have experience of bowling in Australia.
