Was it a good move to recall Irfan in the Indian squad?

I am a big supporter of Sammy, because since he became Captain the attitude of the West Indies Change, We found good Young talented Cricketer.
instead of us staying to our Old cricket and getting beat at a regular basicas and havent really won any match consistently and keep on given up after there is no hope, This new look West Indies are fighters, they got the thirst for Cricket Only Problem is Daren Sammy. I really like him, but he just cost us two games.

I know it's hard to Beat India in India. since England who is better than West Indies got beaten by India 5-0.

Bring back Gayle people may think it may be different, but again the attitude of West Indies young talent may change, and the West Indies team will again go back to a One man show.
Right now this Wets Indies team is playing as a team which i really like, they are losing, but they are fighting, only problem we have right now is our Captain Sammy, making some silly mistake in Field placement, havent made anything with the Bat recently and bowling is really gone down to his lowest level, Even dropping easy catches.
If the WICB dont want back Gayle, I have no probelm with that, since Gayle isn't Cometed to West Indies Cricket, but West Indies needs two player in this side, i would bring Chaderpaul and Sarwan back into my ODI side, for me the Test Side looks good and hope they improve, as time goes on, but the OD side is poor.
I would make sure Sarwan gets Fit to play and try to see what i can do to keep him Fit and name him Captain of the OD side whcih i hope he toke it, because he rejected it before, which will automatically replaced Sammy, Sammy will remain playing T20 for me since i think he suit that role, since for me T20 isnt Cricket and you dont really need proper Talent to play it.
With youngster. my Future WI OD Team would me.
L Simmon, K Powell ( i would give him a Chance in OD, at least a few tour), D Bravo, S Chanderpaul, R Sarwan (c), M Samuels, K Pollard, D Ramdin, R Rampal, A Russel, K Roach. By other Back up F Edwards, D Bishoo, S Shlingford. Would love to see X Marshall, A Fletcher Improving there Batting and trying to make it back into the ODI side.

NOTE incase you wonder why not including Taylor, Benn or Gayle. Gayle have trouble with WICB, Benn have attitude problems and Taylor not sure, maybe WICB problem like Gayle or maybe unfit. but any way tryign to move West Indies forward, nothing really wrong with current West Indies bowling line up, beside Sammy captaincy in field setting.
oh yeah, and Dywane Bravo wouldn't in my team. a person who got an opportunity to lead the West Indies A Team, got injured and wasnt fit to play for the reaminging of the series and then Big Bash around the corner and all of a sudden feels he is fit to play, Not cometed to West Indeis Cricket at all.

Haven't seen those new spinners yet in the attack for West Indies in this tour, would love to see them in the 3rd ODI.

:eek:,a tailender like Rampaul comes out and makes 86 runs including 6 sixes. What is India's bowling coming to these days!!!!Aaron and Ashwin were terrible with the ball!!God save India today!!!!

Ha!!!!!Anyway I kinda forgot that the opposition were a medicore West Indies who are a good for nothing team currently. The only way for them to resolve this is to sack Darren Sammy who can't bat and bowl properly. The West Indies have a talented young side. They are captained by their worst player and no team can enjoy that.Just like the idiom:An army of stags led by a lion can be more powerful than an army of lions led by a stag!!.In this case Sammy is the stag and the talented Windies players are the lions.:lol:lol:D:D

He wont!! Dont worry he wont play although we could see Irfan Pathan in the squad for last 2 ODI's as he is the prime candidate right for the selection for Australia series and its almost 60% confirmed he is the one to get selected as Sreesanth is injured and out for almost 8 weeks.

So we are left with options as Ashish Nehra(Ganguly's Pick) Irfan Pathan, Abhimanyu Mithun, Vinay Kumar or for a change and selectors have done some ???? thing they might select Sreenath Aravind (just a thought although he is should be no where near)

I heard someone saying that Irfan is too slow now, touching only 132-135 km/h. Welll than what is so special about Vinay Kumar. Irfan can move ball both ways plus he provides that batting option which India needs overseas. But again, if they pick Irfan and he fails, than he will be out for rest of his life for sure.

I would never pick Ashish Nehra for tests. I am not sure about Abhimanyu Mithun. He did well on those Sri Lankan roads. But he did not get any chances after it. So it has to be either Irfan or Mithun.

According to Rajat Bhatia as quoted in TOI,Irfan was bowling at around 118Kmph.If he is bowling around 132-135Kmph he would be a sureshot selection.

Praveen wasnt quick too, if going according to Zak's interview he said he should be ready after playing 4 warm ups before the 1st test, that is one which he played against Orissa, one which he is playing against Saurashtra and then 2 in Australia.

Our bowling lineup of this should be good enough

Zaheer,Ashwin,Umesh Yadav,Ishant Sharma

We can have Pathan backing up if anyone is injured.

Oh ok, I didn't read about that but than again I would agree with Rohit as he said that Praveen was also bowling in 120's. But it's the swing that is his weapon. Irfan lost that swing that was coming back to right handers but he has got that swing back.

So it would be an ideal replacement for Praveen Kumar. as both Praveen and Irfan are swing bowlers. Both can move ball both ways. And Irfan is much better batsman than Praveen Kumar. So I would go with him. But again Abhimanyu Mithun has done nothing wrong. So it has to be Irfan Pathan or Abhimanyu Mithun.
