Sarwan Scores century WI 261-3 at tea

WI have managed a decent score at tea on the first test thanks to a gorgeous century from vice captain Sarwan.

Resuming their innings after lunch the two C'paul and Sarwan batted beautifully and scored very aggressively.

Here r some screen shots about their positive batting.

C'Paul even hooked a ball that brought a surprise shock to me

Just after that the sun emerged from the clouds a Queens Park Oval bathed in Glorious sunshine

C'paul And Sarwan reached their 100 run parnership and were looking superb.

The Kiwi bowling was a shock today with them not pitching the ball up as they did in the last test they were way to short that allowed the batsman to dominate and also were largely on the pads of the batsman.

WI running was so impressive was that they had some close calls as well

C'paul managed to reach his fifty and looked very happy

Sarwan too reached his Hundred and I was happy to see him reaching this milestone.

Everythingh didnt go in NZ way but their wicket keeper encouraged them through out. Even Bond tried for reverse swing but nothing happened. NZ were hampered by Vettori absent has he was suffering from upset tummy.

Everything should stop at one point or other and so did the partnership between the two as C'paul from no where played an characteristic shot that resulted in his wicket.

The KIWIS felt as if they had got their wings at last.

Then everything change in half an hour time as each of the 2 batsman coming felt to poor shots as shown.

Powel showed some odi skills but soon lost his wkt

Baugh to me is a waste of a batsman and he responded. Thanks mate

Sarwan and Jacobs r at crease and i hope WI put a decent total as the Sun has come out and the pitch is good. Cairns was the successful bowler taking up 3 wkts

Tea time show

WI go to tea 261-3 Hope they fight back well.

Tony Cozier: Once again they have spoilt it by not applying themselves. But what an innings from Sarwan.

Ian Smith: Really well played Sarwan. They should have KIWI on the mat by the way they bowled but they have released the pressure by losing the lat 2 wkts.

Cozier: Well time for the new Tea Time show we r starting from this match onwards, its called Fan from the crowd. Today we have the WI supporter from this very place John Ebraham.

Cozier: Well john happy to be with us.

John: I dont have words to express my feeeling now.

Cozier: Since we dont have much time one question abt match so far.

John: Well basically came here to see Lara score lot of runs, but he disappoints me and ofcourse Sarwan and C'paul have done well so that we are not down and out. Great innings from Sarwan. Let the Calypso Kings rule.

Cozier: Well thanks John Well lets wait for for the players to come as they r having tea

Awesome performances there by Chanderpaul and Sarwan. Along with Lara and Gayle, they form the core of the Windies team.

excellent story thread mate!, windies blazing thro'...

WI bowled out for 308

Once again the WI batsman threw the chance of scoring excess of 400 as the batting collapsed once again in the post tea session.

Tuffeytook 4 wkts as he cleaned of the tail enders, not before the well settled Sarwan trying to it part-timer richardson deep into the sea got bowled.

sarout1lz.jpg

Then the tailenders came and went straight into the dressing room since tuffey did provide some hot stuff.

Jacobs got dubious decision has ball seemed to miss the leg stump.

The tailenders were packed of by tuffey in this fashion.

Wi finally ended on 308 looks a comfortable score though.

Tony Cozier: Well looks a comfortable score, but on this pitch its not a good score. The sun has come out and demons in the pitch early in the morning have gone. ur thoughts on this Crowe.

Matrin Crowe: Well yeah if I would been Fleming then i would have benn happy after the partnership btwn Sarwan and C'Paul to see WI finish with only 308. But still a comfortable score though.

Cozier: But NZ do have their own problems with top order not firing, its only cairns and Astle that have rescued them from first test.

Crowe: Yes I agree with u and also they have a small period leading to the close of the play to bat so concentration is a big factor. Hope they cope up.

Cozier: Well the players have come out and play is abt to resume. Lets join Smith and Bishop for commentary.

NZ lose wkt at last over of the day

NZ lost richardson at the last over of the day and poor man had his problems following right from the first class matches.

Sinclair looked in fine form and Fleming was with him in the crease when curtains came down for the first day.

Cozier: Well thats it for the day thanks to Richardson WI have tasted success, hope they do well tommorrow. Do join us tommorrow for the Live coverage of what looks like to be a gorgeous day. Good Night :happy

Second Day Second Test

Tony Cozier: Once again I welcome u all under this Grey skies here at Queens Park Oval, Ya its once again overcast here, definite possibbility of rain. Hope we start play. WI should utilize this conditions to get some wickets .

Ian Bishop: yes I agree with u tony, I just saw the wicket on the way just coming over here. It looks a beauty. Hope WI will get some movement of this deck now with grey skies.

Cozier: The Players r out there and so do the 2 umpires Play abt to start and u can see a good crowd here for the second day. Lets join Ian Smith and Martin Crowe for the commentary. See u all the Lunch.

The match starts at time but rain interrupts the play and players go off the field. Everybody is disappointed so does the players.

rainstarts9pp.jpg

Cozier: Ya very much expected, so lots watch the highlights of first days play, the one that evenly matched.

Cozier: Well sorry to say this its still raining out there and now there is a constant drizzle.

Now the time is 1.15pm and players r ready after having lunch so let rain stops and let us continue this evenly poised match .

Thats it for know. We will join u when play begins.

Play Resumes

Play resumes after a long delay and everybody hope that there will be no stoppage .

Resuming from their overnight score NZ struggle on a pitch that had someything in it for the bowlers and with a wet outfield.

Sinclair continued to play well with some elegant and perfection in his shots.

The other overnight batsman Fleming never looked comfortable and played a ugly cut that balloned in the air and was caught at slips

Astle came out to join Sinclair, the Wi bowling was so disciplined that Sinclair played very slowly and the mercurial astle tried some goodshots.

But at the end brilliant catch resulted in his wicket. Astle tried to play a hook of Bradshaw that he didnt connect well and was caught brilliantly.

Mcmillan joined Sinclair and both played carefully, Both were unable to pick gaps due to some accurate bowling and tight fielding.

But Mcmillan soon released a fury of 4's to unsettle the bowlers and then NZ scorecard started moving a bit freely.

Sinclair reached his fifty, mind u a patient one but very effective considering the position of WI.

sin504of.jpg

NZ reached tea without any addition to the wickets column.

This is turning out to be a superb match. Good innings there from Sinclair.

Also nice screenshots?? did u manage to make fraps work? or did u get some other software?
