NZ require 263 runs to win

WI have been bowled out for 181 runs in their second innings thus setting NZ a score of 263 runs to win the second test here in Queens Park oval.

Resuming the innings after lunch the WI added few runs before the number 11 edwards tried to do something extradinary and was caught at slips of tuffey.

Tony Cozier: Well i hope Kiwis should be happy seeing their target now after giving away a huge lead before. But once again a apaaling batting performance by WI.

Martin Crowe: Well yeah i dont know what r these guys trying to do, really a poor performance considering their lead was enough for them to bat NZ out of the match. But u cant take nothing away from kiwis man they played superbly especially cairns, having a great tour.

Cozier: Well Lara should hope that his bowlers perform the same way as did in the first innings otherwise this should be a cakewalk for the KIWIs considering this pitch is very good for batting.

Crowe: i hope NZ should just be there and dont do anything silly and runs will come, First of all they need a good start.

Cozier: its heating up here and we hope see a cracker of match and do hope both teams fight it out and do join us for the NZ innings. Now lets show u all the WI wickets that fell in the II innings during this 10 min changeover

A smooth end in sight.

Tony Cozier:
" Well there looks to be a smooth end in sight as WI cricket board has opened door for Lara and seven other stars to be considered for the upcoming series against SA after this series against NZ is over.

Actually a some days ago WI board ruled out seven players along with captain Lara for havig endorsement contracts with Cable and Wireless in conflict with the boards chief sponsor and television comminication rival, Digicel.

WI board invited 22 other players for their selection against series against SA after the current series is over and the other seven including Lara would remain ineligible for that series until the board satisfies itself regarding their contracts."

Cozier: So i think every problem is over and now the WI can concentrate with their job in hand that is this current series against NZ.

Ian Smith: Well yeah the problems r sought out and i hope WI can perform well now that all problems r over.

Cozier: well i too hope the same

Well i think newzealand will be able to make 263 unless if wi do some great bowling

NZ begin their run chase

Well NZ begin their run chase in overcast condition and Both openers were sedate in their approach.

Richardson who is out of form scratches around for 30 balls before getting his first runs while sinclair continued from where he left in the first innings

Nothing worked for WI with both openers really trying nothing flashy and Lara turned on to his lucky bowler. Guess who the bowler is ????????????

Yes u r correct and it was Powell indeed the man with silver arms. Sinclair straight away dominated the spinner when he lofted him over long on for a four.

But soon fell into the trap and was bowled by a full length delivery. Once again Powell strikes.

In came captain courageous fleming and played decently until he had a mix up with other opener and richardson and the second wicket in the way of richardson.

Astle and Fleming then played very well with some bold shots with both striking the ball well.

Good bowling performance by NZ, especially by Mr. Cairns.

I expect NZ to win this one, but it wont be an easy win by any means.

Nz resuming their innings after tea were much more positive both fleming and Mcmillan were aggressive, particularly the latter in murdereous mood.

Lara was bit worried about his teams chances and was forced to take powell out of the attack as mcmillan even swept him for a huge six

Kiwis are going great!, windies-good luck next time!!!

Boss

Mcmillan and Fleming continued in the same fashion but Mcmillans aggressive innings ended as he holed out to the fielder at midwkt Bradshaw and Powell does it again man.

Styris joined Fleming and looked very comfortable at the crease than before in this series
