your right that the standards of the stories are high. unfortunatly we still have a lot of small threads which open and dont go anywhere after that. however your definatly in that top brand of writers in my opinion and i think thats shown in the posts in your thread

2ND ODI AT ADELAIDE

Welcome to this marvellous Adelaide oval for the second ODI between Australia and the West Indies. We saw the Aussies just scrape home against the brave Windies last week in a thrilling finish which we hope happens again here today.

The Teams

Australia

S.Katich
A.Gilchrist
R.Ponting
D.Martyn
A.Symonds
M.Clarke
M.Hussey
B.Hogg
B.Lee
N.Bracken
G.McGrath

West Indies

W.Hinds
C.Gayle
B.Lara
S.Chanderpaul
R.Sarwan
D.Bravo
X.Marshall
D.Ramdin
F.Edwards
J.Lawson
T.Best

The Pitch

This pitch is nothing special, It has something for both bowlers and batsmen, spin and pace. Early on the ball could nip around so batsmen can't be too agressive like the were at the WACA. Later on the pitch will deteriorate which will give the spinners a good chance of picking up wickets.

The Toss

The West Indies have again won the toss and elected to bat.

Let the game begin...

UPDATE: 10 OVERS

The Windies have made a solid start despite loosing 2 early wickets. They are currently 2/42. Gayle was the first man out, He edged a wide delivery to gully where Hussey took a great one-hander to remove him. Then the big wicket came, Mcgrath (who claimed Gayle as well) bowled a good outswinger which Lara tried to smash over covers but only got an edge to Hussey again at cover. The Windies now need a partnership between Wavell Hinds and the Captain to form...

W.Hinds 15*
S.Chanderpaul 1*
WIN:2/42
RR: 4.2

G.McGrath 2/17 (5)
B.Lee 0/25 (5)

UPDATE: 20 OVERS

The Australians have done very well in the last 10 overs, they haven't claimed a wicket but have slowed the Windie's advance. only 18 runs have been scored in the last 60 balls, which shows just how tight in the field it has been. The West Indians need to score a lot quicker if they are to post a competative total for the Aussies to chase...

W.Hinds 28*
S.Chanderpaul 5*
WIN: 2/60
RR: 3.0

B.Lee 0/27 (6)
G.McGrath 2/19 (7)
N.Bracken 0/8 (4)
B.Hogg 0/5 (3)

Nice to see Bravo will be batting higher. Hopefully he can win this one for the Windies...

Also, a small error. Australia won the first match by 1 wicket, not run :p
