WARNE TRAPS RAMDIN

Shane Warne has provided another key breakthrough, that of the youngster Ramdin. Warne pitched 3 off breaks outside off-stump then pitched a full leg break into the youngsters middle stump. Ramdin tried to sweep but was caught infront and given out for 23. He played the likes of McGrath and Lee well but fell to the King of Spin for a respectable total.

Last Wicket: D.Ramdin: LBW b S.Warne

O.Banks 0*
WIN:5/228

LEE REMOVES BANKS

Brett Lee has finnaly struck with the wicket of O.Banks. Lee bowled a vicious 148 km delivery on the top of off stump. This forced Banks to block but he couldn't get the full face of the bat onto the ball and nicked it straight to Gilchrist. This could be the start of something for the Aussies as the tail is now exposed...

Last Wicket: O.Banks: c A.Gilchrist b B.Lee

B.Lara 105*
D.Butler 0*
WIN:6/228

Omari Banks playing. interesting, I always thought the Windies hated spinners...

Yeah BF's new 4GB batpack's roster includes him

Hasn't made him any better then the players he replaced :)

LEE RIPS APART WINDIES

Brett Lee has shown that he still is an awesome quick and is a player to be feared. Lee completely destroyed the Windies lower order using a variety of balls including out and in swingers. He also claimed a hatrick which his team mates and him celebrated joyfully. Lee already looks bursting with fire and confidence as he looks forward to the next innings. Langer took 3 catches for the match while Gilchrist took 2.

HAYDEN OUT AFTER SOLID START

The Windies have claimed their first wicket of the 4th match. Matthew Hayden was trapped infront of leg stump just as the Aussies started looking comfortable at the crease. He scored fluently and didn't play a bad stroke until going back onto his crease to an off cutter and being hit on the pads. The captain Ricky Ponting is in next...

Tough decision for Hayden...

Go Windies! Four seamers and a spinner, Sarwan better not bowl!!!

LUNCH DAY 3

AUS:1/98
J.Langer 36*
R.Ponting 24*
M.Hayden 21

Summary: The Aussies have made a solid start to their innings. They need to keep the pressure on the Windie bowlers and try to hit out and over the field more as the outfield has slowed due to the 6 hours of rain.

LANGER GONE

The Windies have claimed the key wicket of in-form batsmen Justin Langer for 47. Butler bowled a sharp leg cutter which drew JL into a cover drive. This then caught the edge and was caught well at point by Sarwan. The Windies need to take more wickets as Ricky Ponting is looking dangerous at the other end...

R.Ponting 35*
D.Martyn 0*
AUS:2/122

Last Wicket: J.Langer: c R.Sarwan b D.Butler

J.Lawson 1/52 (19)
T.Best 0/14 (5)
