AUSSIES TUMBLE AS THEY SEARCH FOR QUICK RUNS

The Australians have been bowled out for 353. Both Gilchrist and Symonds fell looking for quick runs as the Windies took advantage of the Aussies' agressive mentality. Symonds was caught at cover after a miss-hit while Gilchrist was stumped going down the pitch to Gayle. A controversy of the innings was the umpires decision not to give a ball out that bounced up on Brett Lee which replays showed might have flicked his glove. Adding to this was that a noise was heard as the ball whistled past Lee's face.

Any lead of over 100 is pretty handy. Good job by the Windies to restrict the Aussies.

This is the ball that was given not out to the shock of all the Windies players. A thudding noise was heard just as it passed over the glove on it's way to Ramdin.

MCGRATH STRIKES EARLY

Glenn McGrath has sent shockwaves through the Windies batting lineup by removing the first innings hero Chris Gayle. McGrath drew him into a rash cover drive which Gayle nicked to gully where Langer took a beuty to end his innings quickly.

HINDS GONE

Glenn McGrath is making full use of a deteriorating pitch by claiming his second wicket. McGrath pitch a beautiful outswinger just outside off stump which drew Hinds into playing an extravagent cover drive only to get a nick straight to Gilchrist. The Windies now need to stabilise the innings with the loss of these two quick wickets.

LARA OUT AFTER 50

Brian Lara has become the third victim of the Aussie attack. Shane Warne provided the crucial breakthrough, trapping Lara plum infront for 63. Lara had just started to attack and looked to sweep a ball that he thought was a leg break but actually was a slider which claimed him and the Windies' spirit as their champion departs

SARWAN FALLS QUICKLY

Brett Lee has finally struck to claim the home sides 2nd quick wicket to put the Windies under some serious pressure. Lee bowled a quick ball just short of a length which Sarwan tried to cut through point. Unfortunately for the Windies all Sarwan managed to do was nick it straight to Gilchrist. The Windie middle order now needs to do bat well to stop the first signs of a collapse.
