What he showed in the 6th ODI against India was promising. The Gabba should take swing early so it will be a good test to see if he can get swing on Aussie soil.

Aussies lost the ashes because of him. Dont you remember?
He was a pathetic bowler in that series...He needs a break these days...
IMO Doug is a better in form bowler than Johno!

We lost the Ashes because of bad batting and stupid decisions by selectors, so it's pretty unfair to blame Johnson for the loss.

One of those stupid decisions was not dropping Johnson. Johnson bowled absolute tripe, save for one innings, and the selectors brought in Watson to cover for Johnson. He should have been dropped after the third test.

Bad batting?? How many hundreds did aussies make ?? much more than england!

Even johnson accepted that his performance from the 2nd tests onwards was the main reason for the ashes loss!

It doesn't matter how great your bowling line-up is, if you score 160 or 250 in the 1st innings, you are always on the back foot.

And I am really getting annoyed with your comments, they are just horrible. :D

You can't win a test without taking 20 wickets.

Watson was brought in as a specialist batsman, to replace Hughes. He bowled eight overs. And you don't drop your premier bowler, who is also the attack leader, for two bad games....

He bowled 8 overs and went for 7 and 5 an over respectively. When he came on to bowl his pies to Flintoff and Prior at Birmingham they smashed him all around the park and played themselves into form and we struggled to get them out, that was that match out the window.

I also seem to remember Gillespie being shown the door after a poor start in 2005.

Unless they declare...

Location: Victoria ... that sums it up.

Sarwan gets injured right before the test :doh.

Cricket gods don't want the WI to have the best possible team playing :noway:crying

Excited to see Nash playing Test cricket in Australia

not trying to take a shot at you but hope he does as well here as he did against England at home.
with Sarwan being out it will probably be Deonarine or Dowlin coming in at #3. As if Chanderpaul needed more pressure in the middle order. Somebody else will have to step up, Bravo and Nash will have to play like they have never played before to fill in for Sarwan.
