Oh, dont worry West Indies. I'm sure Queensland second xi would score 7/607 against a lot of outfits... NSW under 17's for example.

Not you Dare, Howsie.....

LOL @ matt. And to anyone who thinks we want to rickroll the West Indies we don't. Some sort of contest would be preferred....

Funny how you ignored my Hauritz comment.....

Hauritz scored 7* in that match and didn't even face a ball from Roach. I was going to be kind and just leave the original comment, but since you wanted to bring it up.....

:doh OK i fail :p probs should have checked before posting

but i remember him batting quickly, 7 off three balls.... lee DID lay into them, :rtfl

A few 50s for the West Indians means they've come out of it looking better than when they went in, but Queensland's innings leaves them a bit lost on their bowling attack.

It was a good idea to give Deonarine some overs, as he seemed to prove he could be useful. If Gayle can't make it for the 1st Test, then they could still pick 4 seamers with him in the side. This currently appears a good idea, because Benn's performance was rather disparaging. Taylor obviously comes in, but I can see Sammy getting a game. The Gabba could be the ideal place for Sammy to be rewarded for accurate bowling.

All in a good outing for Queensland. To get 16 International batsmen with their bowlers is some achievement. Simpson looked hard to get away, I can see why they use him over Doran.

Forgot about Taylor and co, that is a positive for the Windies as their bowling attack in this match didn't cut it.

Gayle looks likely to play the first test, great news for the Windies.

Yeah just read the update on Cricinfo.

Chris Gayle, the West Indies captain, will return to Australia in time for the first Test starting on November 28 in Brisbane. The West Indies Cricket Board announced that Gayle will leave Jamaica on Monday.

Gayle had flown home to be with his seriously ill mother before the start of the tour game against Queensland to begin the journey back to visit her in hospital in Kingston.

Good to hear.

Great Stuff! It's not the same playing a team without their leader...

Simpsons career bowling average is somewhere near 70.

Watched. the 20/20 match tonight. Nathan Reardon is a terrible player. So if he can score 140 against the Windies they're screwed against Australia.

Not just him but other ordinary players such as Nick Kruger and Wade Townsend made centuries along with Daniel Doran taking wickets.

And then 1 lazy day I wake up at 12, to see Aus lose 5 early wickets against a seaming WI attack. :doh

Gabba looks like a good pitch to bowl, seam and swing, also spin.

West Indies never turn up until the Internationals start, I thought that was common knowledge. I'd have given them a chance if Edwards was fit and firing, but without him, I think it'll be tricky. I won't be surprised to see them pile up the runs a couple of times though.

actually they are a good team with allot of of field issues. just when the WI were starting to play good cricket the strike came and it undid all the work over the past 2 years.

So good that they can hardly win Test matches.

put any team in the situation WI have been over the past 10 years and they would be the same.
Like I said WI were and improving side and did well in South Africa, then against the Aussies at home they put up a fight and beat England.
