So, he lost his cool and bowled wayward garbage. Love it.

How's that losing your cool? He hit Ponting a few times in the gloves, and then the one time he threw a bouncer down he top edged him for six (the ball was palmed over).

He was pretty impressive during that match, and by the sounds of it he was pretty impressive against Queensland.

And he still got spanked for 7 an over.

Howsie if you didn't notice, the pitch was bouncing, and Ponting killed the bowlers.

Ponting batted very well on a pitch the gave the bowlers early assistance yes, but his innings was far from "perfect". Roach was able to actually trouble him, unlike the rest of the attack. Given an ounce more luck and some decent fielding Ponting may of been out for not many and as I stated during and after this match Roach didn't deserve the figures he ended up with.

Roach sprays it around a lot, he needs to be more consistent with his line and length, especially against the Aussies who like to pull.

So in this series you might see him take a few good wickets, but he will concede more runs for his liking.

He doesn't really spray it around, he actually bowls with very good accuracy and he's shown that (for the most part) in his early international career. I do agree he'll have to watch his length though, the pitches in Australia are going to be a lot different to the ones he bowls on at home. Kemar Roach's strength other then his pace is the ability to move the ball in the air and pitch whilst maintaining his off-stump line.

He did have a problem with no-balls a year or so back (which stopped him from making the team earlier) but by the looks of things he seems to have corrected that issue.

For a bowler who started his career at such a young age and with not much experience in domestic cricket Roach is doing just fine. He has allot of years ahead of him and he will just get better and better. With experience he will learn where he should bowl in each country and that its not all about pace, something he already seems to be catching on to.
And it does help to have a legend like Joel Garner alongside you for the tour. He needs to open his ears wide and just ask questions and listen.

The West Indies are just awful. Sorry, but they are.

actually they are a good team with allot of of field issues. just when the WI were starting to play good cricket the strike came and it undid all the work over the past 2 years.

looks like Barath is doing much better in this 2nd innings, hope he can show his talent in the tests.
