Nice variation shown by Hauritz, first the arm ball then the quicker over spinner. Still hard to judge if he is our spin answer until we go against the better teams like India and SA.

Ponting should put Hilfy on to try and claim 5.

one thing I noticed is that Dowlin seems to be jumping both feet of the ground, allot.

Seems that any short ball just outside of gets him into the air and plays a awkward shot. Seen some pictures too.

Windies are woeful, I can't believe people thought they would actually win a test much less draw one based off this performance, that must be pure optimism to see Australia lose. The bloke who said The Windies wouldn't make 250 in any innings looks on the money so far.

all over, the most disapointing thing is that the guys I thought could make some runs and put up a fight against the Aussies (Bravo, Chanders, Gayle and Nash) all failed. While guys like Dowlin, Ramdin and Barath put up runs.

Hope for a better performance in the 2nd test and I hope that Sarwan makes a comeback, should boost the team because he was the inform batsman.

There were a few positives with the youngsters for the Windies going well. They just need the players to back these guys up.

Great way to end the match, Haddin had a real good match with the gloves. Will be interesting seeing who gets MOTM.

That's been an excuse for nearly 15 years with the Windies.

its not and excuse its the reality, you obviously don't know much about WI cricket.

You're right I must automaticaly have no clue.

At least the windies seem to have unearthed a couple of decent players. Too bad their established guys did absolutely nothing in this game, which really isn't surprising given they haven't played cricket in months. Hundred or not giving MOTM to somebody on a team which lost by an innings is pretty ridiculous, I'd give it to Hilfenhaus, 5 for 70 with 4 from the top order is pretty good.

Also I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Aussies go 100% this summer in the tests, unless they get rain or super flat pitches.
