Apart from that first ball, Watson has looked good. Just needs to get set again and he should be on his way to a 100.

Watson's first 50 in Australia. Well played, now for the biggie.

Come on Watto, bring on that elusive maiden ton mate......

Katcih plays spin very well, his first tour to SL and India were excellent examples of his good play, he was a rock in India in 04.

Nah i'm serious, he hit an awesome six but he definitely is no Hussey when it comes to working around the spinners.
You are embarrassing me, please stop.

At first I didn't rate Watson as a test opener, I still don't, but I hope he does make a ton. I like him, I just believe he'd be best off in the middle order, even at number 6 if Hussey were to retire, then move Clarke and North up.

Katich gets booed for taking a second run on the 3rd to last ball of the day to kepp the strike from Watson. Dunno why but I just found that funny.

Coz they all wanted Watson to get a 100 before they left. It was a bit similar when S.Waugh got a 100, Gilly took a single and got the biggest cheer of the day (apart from Waugh ofcourse).

You are embarrassing me, please stop.

So you rate Katich against spinners?

How many times did he almost get out against Benn?

Keyword there; almost, he's maintained his wicket. Like Robelinda said, Katich was gun as in India in '04. Katich has scored 21 from 35 against Benn, SR of 60. Just because he's nearly gone out to Benn, doesn't mean he's ████ at spin; more than half of Michael Clarke's dismissals in test cricket have been against spin, does that make him a ████ player of it?

AUssies well on top here now. Still all 10 wickets in hand - they're looking good and it's once in a blue moon that they collapse. Great run-rate. Bowling seems to be heavily weakened without Taylor. Didn't realize he was at first.

West Indies making Watson look good.

Still Hussey?

How many times did he almost get out against Benn?

:laugh:laugh:laughHow many times DID he get out to Benn? He averages 51 v India and 44 IN India so that sticks your "worst player ever" against spin theory.

Fine I'll just say he doesn't look comfortable against Benn.

Gayle has a leg slip and a short leg. Katich keeps trying to tuck Benn around the corner but hits it very uppishly.

Won't be surprised if that's the way he gets out, coz he looks like a rock against the pace bowlers.

Gayle has a leg slip and a short leg, that must confirm that Katich is finding Benn difficult because spin bowlers don't usually have these fields.

He is walking across his stumps and guiding the ball behind him, not forcefully flicking it.

He missed Benn earlier in his innings a couple of times that went straight to the keeper behind leg stump.

Stop trying to put me down, I am just calling it as I see it. Get over it.
