West Indies tour of England (Aug-Sept 2017)

The WI have themselves to blame. You can`t keep on dropping catches and take wickets of no balls and expect to win test matches. Appalling. Stokes has had so many lives this series . He should go buy a lottery.

Aaaaand he's gone :p

You can`t get away with it everytime. Stuart Broad and Toblerone are putting up a menacing partnership. WI need to keep this lead below 40 if possible. If England get to 50-odd, this could spiral out of WI control very quickly. Anderson to mop up with a 6-er in the 2nd innings. And another drop by Dowrich :-(. Its almost like WI cannot believe that they are in with a chance of winning a series in England and are doing everything to mess it up.

Another drop. Lead of 100 confirmed for England. WI have lost the plot.

yes great last wicket stand for England, could be crucial in the context of the match

And yes what a great way to get 500 wickets, bowled middle stump, what a class bowler. Just to think England tried to get him to change his action years ago........

So basically that means I could clean out the side... ?

well the ball was swinging sideways, not spinning sideways unless you have another string to your bow you are keeping quiet about..?

Congrats Jimmy Anderson on 500 wickets. Though I would rather rate another bowler, such as Dale Steyn over him. Anderson has a magnificent home record, but has not performed very well overseas, which is why I don't think he can be considered a great bowler, even though 500 wickets is a great achievement. I would think a bowler should be considered "great" based on the ability to perform everywhere else, not just at home where you are likely to have more success there, which is why I would rate Steyn over Anderson cause Steyn has a great record overseas compared to Anderson and he would have gotten 500 wickets if he was not injured for so long. But still Anderson has done well despite his age.[DOUBLEPOST=1504931366][/DOUBLEPOST]I would fancy England to win this match. So many chances there for the Windies, but fail to grasp those opportunities. They have to aim for 300+ lead if they are to have a chance which I find quite unlikely given the way England have bowled.

To back up your point, Anderson again does the business at home with 7 'fer. If Windies win this it's going to be very exciting :)

Doesn't look like that at the moment with already 29 on the board need a very special effort if windies are to win this one.

Yeah England had blistering start to all but kill game off.....

Sanath Jayasuriya and Shahid Afridi have more ODI wickets than Shane Warne, but that doesn't mean they are better than him. Same with Anderson and some pacers who have less wickets than him.
