West Indies' tour of India (Feb 2022)

Any news on India's Covid positive reports? Who are the ones not available for this series? That could be a major influence in selecting the playing XI

No Kuldeep Yadav again. Unexpected from Rohit. There's no Hetmyer either so ideal time to play him and let him gain the much needed confidence by picking some handful of wickets.

Four spinning options would be tad too many imo, if he is ready to bat 7 then maybe but I doubt so.

The team seems a lot more stable strategically, KL Rahul needs to learn this, else someone else has to be the new deputy.

I don't think Sundar was that badly needing a game. Also Shardul can play at 7.

I don't understand what was Kieron Pollard thinking with his side already 4 down and a wicket fallen off the last ball to try & loft Chahal over cover. Absolute brainless batting from the big fella! :facepalm

He is trying to do the same like he do in franchise

Doesn't make sense. He is the Captain of this side so there should be some sense of responsibility. With the kind of performance in the last tour to India, you would expect someone like Pollard to stand out. His ODI average of 26 is equally disappointing. I think he is a lot better than this.

To Be Honest Pollard is not in the form Since ipl 2021 moved To UAE

No bro! That's not something I am talking about. It wasn't as if Pollard had played like 10-15 deliveries that he looked to try and loft it against currently the best limited overs spinner of India. And that had nothing to do with his form. It was just a pure brain dead shot.

When I look at those wickets that have fallen, this is one of those farcest innings from the West Indies. You can still excuse out Darren Bravo & Brandon King for getting out to Sundar with the kind of deliveries he bowled. Shai Hope went a little too hard at the bowling. Absolutely no need to do that after he got consecutive boundaries off the previous deliveries. And as mentioned earlier poor from Pollard. I can understand what Pooran was trying to do that but again not reading that one out of the hand. Also Chahal bowled a great spell.

Now when you look at India's bowling since their New Zealand tour in 2020, everytime they take early wickets they let the opposition cut loose. This hasn't been the case today. Quality of opposition matters ofcourse but can't take anything away from the fact that they have been better today. Some obvious tweaks you can work out but all in all they have kept it tight. This partnership though between Holder & Allen may hurt us.

I think the pitch just looks flat so anything under 200 with dews to come into play, India are going to give a hammering to the West Indies today.

Just found this one.... The dream is over mate! :p
Well, there are a few ODIs still left to be played, so..

The last I checked the score, WI were something like 110-7. Feel like the tail scored an extra 40-45 runs, India's inability to wipe out the tail as usual .
