Your Cricket What's your bowling action?

I have a fairly long run-up with quite a high jump at the crease, and my actual delivery action looks alot like a combination of Harmison and Flintoff...

The nude dilivery is a ball bowled by a off spinner or a left arm orthodox bowler which looks like it will spin but it doesn't it was made famous by Darren Lehmann I bowl a lot of them being a off spiner myself i also bowl regular off breaks, arm ball and a ball that goes the other way which i call my doosra but my dad and team mates call it luck, i change my action nearly every ball i bowl to confuse the batsman but i sometimes am the one who is confused and i nearly trip myself up

Generally I bowl like Lasith Malinga. But my arm is slightly higher at the time of release.

Well mine is quite simple. A 10 yard run-up, run in a bit slowly and gain pace in the last 3 yards, not a big jump and bowl. Bit similar to Agarkar's action. Though I get my pace from my shoulders and height.

Similar. Shorter run up, large jump and stride. For offspin it is Arshad Khan/Graeme Smith-ish. Legspin is purely Shane Warne, with a bit of Anil Kumble

Isn't that called the 'top spinnner' or the 'arm ball'. Sorry I don't know im a left-arm legspinner .

The top spinner is faster and a bit flatter & the seam positioning is different same with the arm ball as it is way faster and flatter, see the nude ball is bowled with the same pace an loop as a normal off break but is doesn't spin at all.

Yea, I love Jonesy's and Plunkett's actions. But, a simple action which comes naturally is always the best.

A properly executed top spinner should bounce steeper than a stock delivery. Similarly, a properly executed arm ball should find some away movement.

The nude ball is more or less counterpart to the leggie's zooter.

I'm pretty much your stock standard left arm orthodox. I've got some variation too, arm ball, I also get a good top spinner going at times and am very proud of it .

I've sorted it out now, I jog off a few paces, then run full pelt for the last 10, then release with a small jump. It's nice.
