Who will break Wasim's record of highest wickets(502) in ODI?

guy (shoib) seriouly needs anger mangement! he gives up at the last momment and then trys to kill the batsman! Wasim got angry but insteead of messing up he would take a break!

Closest to come to Wasim's record maybe would be Brett Lee .
He's the clear only contender of doing so considering his ecord and his age .
I am not saying he will break it but can come close to it .
Also another good option of reaching 350 wickets can be Agarkar.He has got quite a good ODI record .

Wow...yes. Irfan and Balaji definitely have 15 years left in them at least--they are only 20 now. If they can keep up their consistency (perhaps increase it) they will be set. But the problem is that ODI cricket is becoming a batsman's game because crowds around the world enjoy swashbuckling hitting rather than wickets falling.

I've always liked (or feared ) Wasim Akram's bowling. He's freakin' too good. I remember an over where he had like Kiran More ( ?) in trouble in a tight match with like 4 toe hurting yorkers !!
Anyways, on the topic -- perhaps Anil Kumble has a chance. He's a very good bowler and has a good chance of nearing him, although realistically it looks like Muralitharan may make it

Anil Kumble is out of the ODI squad, it seems more or less permanently, now to prolong his test status. Much like Shane Warne. As for Pathan and Balaji--currently its Pathan warming the benches of the Indian team! And he isn't even injured. Something I do not understand but it is working at the moment. I think Pathan might find it difficult to get into the team in the rest of the series unless someone is injured. Nehra picked up 4 wickets today and Zaheer picked up one. Balaji was pretty economical on a batting paradise. Pathan needs to get the captain and coach convinced!

In my opnion Murali can break the record. In evry match he atleat picks up soem wickets and sometimes he picks ups 5 wikets or more if he's lucky though.
